Why isolate the large toe? Most elite athletes and dancers use all of their toes for balance and have a well rounded/developed foot.

I’m not the inventor or a physical therapist but was told by my PT that this is the best tool there is for improving foot and leg function and balance. By isolating the big toe you use the rest of your foot and your whole leg up to your glutes. This is not a toy! The exercises are challenging and they rediscover muscles that you haven’t used for years. The good news is it really works to restore function and balance.

Are there inserts/attachments to fill in the gap for the rest of the toes? I'm thinking of how to do progressions/regressions of certain movements.

This is specifically designed to let those toes drop into the gap. Defeats the purpose based on my PT who recommended the MOBO.

Does the Mobo come with the resistance band ?

I ordered mine off the mobo site and it came with a tube-like resistance band. I’m guessing that the ones ordered through amazon would also contain the same band.

has anyone tried Blackboard training and how does this compare to the Mobo board?

Mobo is very different. It’s a great way to build more of a functional foot. It’s an additive to band work, weights, etc. Its not a “workout program” but and addition to improve function and integrity of the great ray. At least that’s how I use mine in my clinic and at home.

Good Quality Product

Beautiful wood, well constructed. Love the opening for the toes! Been very beneficial in keeping my ankles loose. Great for strengthening and toning ankles and calves. Great tool for many awesome core exercises!

Great for the aging runner with weak feet.

This board and accompanying excercises have strengthened my feet and ankles. I have skinny little paddle like feet and am not getting any younger. At 54 years old, I aim to complete my first marathon this december.I'v done many half marathons , but my feet and ankles have been problematic in past, especially in the 14+ long run range, so I am giving this a try. So far I have been able to work up to 16 mile run relatively pain free from foot/ankle perspective.If you are having issues with week feet or ankles , I would not hesitate giving this a try a try. It seemed expensive, and probably is , but, I do not regret this purchase at all!!!Jay Dicharry, an expert author on mobility , stability , and agility designed so you can be assure its based science backed principles.I will update this review as I put in longer runs closer to race day, am hoping this will be my secret weapon to staying healthy and strong.

Mobo board has helped me

I have had the Mobo board for a few weeks now. Following the exercises on Jay Dicharry's website for the Mobo board and on youtube, I find that I now have a greater connection between my big toe and my hip muscles, which helps me to activate my glutes when I'm running.
