Keeps the hood from falling on your head!
I hadn't realized how weak the hood lifts on my car had gotten until I recently opened the hood, went to the driver's seat for something and the hood slammed shut. I ordered these immediately!These were easy to install. I had someone hold the hood up and I replaced both lifts in about ten minutes. They work perfectly - in fact I had to use some muscle to pull the hood down at first. And they are not expensive - I should have gotten them sooner.It is quite a relief to not have to worry about the hood slamming down on my head - or my hand.
