No. This cover does not contain any lead.

Q: What size would i need to fit my canon 70D body without a lens?

The large size is very versitle. For smaller cameras you just wrapping it tighter.

Q: what size would i need for a canon m6 (mirrorless) with a standard kit lense (15-45) ? I dont want to go too big.

The 15-inch could do it, however, to be future proof, should go for the 19-inch

Q: how thick is the wrap? Doesn't look like it's very protective for drops/bumps. Is it cushioned /foam material?

It's not very thick, but it will provide cushioning when wrapped around an item. I don't rely solely on it to protect from falls, but it is great at protecting equipment from rolling around in a bag or case.
