Sounds fantastic, and USB works perfectly on Linux
I record podcasts and occasional videos for Youtube and needed a good mic that works with my Linux PC and laptop. This is it! It works perfectly with Linux (including OBS Studio) through both USB and XLR. Little to no latency, and the onboard sound processing does a phenomenal job.This is a great microphone because the quality is awesome, and the flexibility of USB and XLR is super nice. I've needed both at different times, and having the option is great. The USB option also makes it super easy to sound phenomenal if you aren't a pro audio person.

If no one is listening, it does not mater what you have to say!
As a professional podcaster, I was in need of a back up microphone. One that was solid, had great sound, was plug and play and was not going to cost me an arm and a leg. The AT2005 fit the bill. It is a cost effective option that I can utilize for the guests on my show to make sure that they sound professional, clear and not like they are underwater.

A lapel mic might be better.
Good quality hand-mic, heavy and robust. But in the end I discovered that a lapel mic gave much better sound reproduction, with much less external noise capture.
