Palm Beach Medicinal Herbs - Ocotillo (Fouquieria splendens) - Packet of 10 Seeds

Seeds have started to grow and I can't wait to see how big they actually get, exciting for sure!

These look like ocotillo seeds, and there's a bit extra in the pack. They are very tiny and fuzzy. (Like ocotillo seeds in pictures I've seen.) I guess they are wind dispersed in nature. They stuck together a little, but were easily separated. There were 16 seeds, as seen in the picture.

I received 10 seeds, planted them in a defunct hydroponics tub with a layer of stones, then catus growing mix and watered well and applied the hydroponics grow light 12 hours/day. So far after 3 days 5 seeds have germinated and the sprouts look strong and healthy!

I ordered the seeds in the hope I could get about six of the ten seeds to grow. Unfortunately I only received five black seeds with the ten fibrous husks that apparently the seeds are contained in when they drop from a parent plant. This is why I'm only giving a four star rating. Now, if I can keep the ants from eating the juvenile plants.

I followed the directions and treated these seeds with care, and none of these sprouted.
