It produces very sharp impressions, the punch type faces are cut sharper than the cheap eastern imports. I will see how they hold their edge over time. The holder feels very solid, finished well and holds the punches in tight alignment (x,y,z) with no play. The cast holder has a machined piece inserted so that the rear of the punches should not embed into the holder causing a position to strike light over time.The reason for the loss of a star is the punch holder top grid came loose from the case (hot glued) and some of the punches slid under. It has a piece of sheet foam covering all the punches, but it really needs a spacer between the case top and grid to keep the grid in place during shipment.
