Great light weight trekking poles! great price!
Love these Trekking poles! Light weight, easy to adjust and come with multiple surface tips for sand, gravel, smooth, etc.Made walking in sand easy! Aids in going up and down hills beautifully! We are in our 70's and love them! Adjusting the height of the poles is a personal preference that will become apparent after using them. Suggest a trial run before a long trek. Price if great!

These are the BEST piece of equipment for backpacking...you NEED these!
I had to write a review as these poles were a godsend on two recent major backpacking trips. I bought two sets of these poles for an upcoming trip to Yellowstone and the Grand Tetons National Parks that my husband and I were going to be taking this summer. We were hiking up Mount Washburn which goes to 10,000 ft and were recommended to have trekking poles. We both found these poles very easy to adjust to our individual needs. By adjusting the tension on the screws and then snapping closed the tab the poles could be easily locked into place without slipping. Mostly they were useful for reducing stress on joints as we climbed and the wrist straps gave great support without over taxing the arms. Our hike was about 4 hours long (up and down) and most of the terrain was gravel. There are two types of feet (knob and walking foot) to put on the spiked tips. Both were useful. I personally liked the walking rubber feet on the gravelly incline but when it got steeper I removed the rubber tips and went with the spikes for better traction. We also added the snow baffles on since there were parts of the hike that had snow in July and they functioned well preventing the pole from sinking too deep into the snow.On another more recent backpacking trip to Isle Royale National Park in The Upper Peninsula of Michigan these poles were by far the best piece of equipment besides good hiking boots. There is NO way I could have done this trip without my poles. These Hunger Hiker 2.0 poles stood up to the rocky and muddy terrain of the Rock Harbor trail and throughout all the park trails. I used the round knobs for stability on the rock and ground. Unfortunately we had a lot of rain and I lost (but found) a tip in the mud when I put my pole into mud and it literally created such suction that I pulled the tip off. I fished it out though so that was great, but then after I got stuck in a squat position grabbing for it with my pack on and my husband came to my rescue and ended up losing BOTH his tips the same way! Lesson learned...keep extra tips on hand....we just ordered more just in case. Also don’t go into a full deep squat with a 40 lb pack ...lol!!!These poles were a great investment and at a decent price much less than some of the name brands in expensive outdoor stores. The poles have held up well to two solid backpacking adventures over gravel, rock, mud and trails. I can recommend these poles for anyone new to trekking poles and wanting a solid product at a decent price. The wrist strips are adjustable, comfortable and sturdy. They come with a nice storage bag that straps nicely to the side of a backpack and also travels nicely on an airplane. We store the poles with the rubber tips on so they don’t poke through the bag.One recommendation is to wear some sort of padded fingerless gloves for extra protection on long hikes. They gave an even better grip on the cork handles and held the trailing end of the wrist straps snuggly against the cork grip without creating blisters. I found that especially useful claiming up rocky bouldered terrain.

Excellent Customer Appreciation
I bought these poles back in January of 2017. After looking for something lightweight but affordable, I decided I would use these for my AT thru-hike.When I received them, I liked the way they felt and looked. The cork grips were really nice, and they weren't the lightest trekking poles I have seen but they were still decent for the price.Flash forward to my hike which as I am writing this I am currently half way done. Since my start at Springer the poles felt really nice. At first my girlfriend and I split them up and each one of us used one until her poles arrived in the mail. When I finally had both poles to myself, it felt much better.I am over 1000 miles in and I did have a few issues with poles. The first problem came when I slipped on some mud and snapped the lower section of the pole. I was able to tape it up and still use it. Then eventually all the adhesive holding the clamps wore off. The one thing you should know is these poles were getting a ton of use. I used them everyday rain, snow or shine. The weather and terrain took quite a toll on them. I was able to tape them up so that all the clamps were secure on the poles. I ended up snapping the poles two more times. It was actually the same pole that I snapped all three times. All the times that they snapped were from falls. I am 6'1" 180 lbs and I put a lot of force on my poles when lowering myself off rocks and stumps. The falls come from mud or bad foot placement. Before I snapped my pole the third time I reached out to Hiker Hunger about getting some replacement parts. I was hoping to get new bottem sections of the poles. I had worn the tips to the nubs. After I got the affirmative from the company that they could send me them, the next day I snapped my pole beyond repair. At least to the point where I felt like it wasn't worth it any more. When I reached the hostel to pick up the package that Hiker Hunger sent me, I was in shock that they sent a brand new pair of poles. I was so grateful for their kindness and support I have decided to give them 5 stars. Not many companies will go the extra mile for their customers, and now I got a good set poles to get me through another 1000+ miles.

Best investment for my hiking hobby!
These are my first walking poles and I took them on my 12-day hiking adventure to Yellowstone National Park. They are easy to adjust and easy to use. When not being used, they easily fit into my pack. Being lightweight, they didn’t add to the weight I was carrying. I highly recommend these if you plan on hiking any rough terrain or your trail includes ascending/descending portions. Our trails included very steep trails and these lightweight poles helped keep strain off my hips, knees, and ankles. I highly recommend!

Good, sturdy product
Good product. I walked all over Europe with a bad hip with one of the poles. They are easy to use and they hold their height well. I’m 5’5” and heavy so they took a lot of pressure. The only thing I did not like was that the rubber end wore out on both of them (lots of concrete) making them prone to sliding. But that shouldn’t happen on trails. Good product.
