This is the most basic of cat feeders, providing one meal a day. It's easy to set up and use. It's stable and works perfectly opening up at the set time. My cat had no problem with it. No worry about getting home late or having to be away overnight.

Luv this, just the additional ice pack is insane, I just wish 🤞 it lasted more than 24hrs for when I'm not here, I got the big 3 feeder so I expected the ice pack it to be double the size with the extra meet ill be puttn in but it's still great for my 2 male cats when I'm away at the weekend, gives me peace of mind and that's worth it's weight in gold, its timed to go off at 6am and 6pm buy you can time it upto 4 times a day ...takes batteries, I just put them in yest so I don't know how long they'll last but ive a feeln they'll last a while, it looks beautiful and fits in perfectly to any space, even if you're fed up watchn your cats meat dry up and go off, this instantly stops all that, nice and fresh and cool, my 2 males LOVE it, so sturdy, took me 10mns to put it together and fill it and have it set up, no lids on the 3 feeder, you actually lift the top of and fill whatever u want and place the ice pack in and out, u have to take ice pack out every 24hrs to put in freezer for an hour and replace but thats no problem upto 3 pouches would fit in each feeder space, not too heavy and very versatile to fill and carry around, luv ..luv ..LUV !!

Handy for overnight stays so no need to rush home feeling guilty ,still get disgusted looks but well fed ones. Very neat looking piece of kit,easy to use but basic, we tend to set a little bit early in case its on go slow ,our old one did, verycleean looking and nice dishes inside. Would recommend but there getting pricey so hope this lasts.

I have an elderly cat who needs to be fed little and often, including during the night! Those 3am feeds were starting to bite me so I had to try this bowl! It is a very well made bowl, larger than I thought and very sturdy. It was easy to set up and is easy to keep clean. Kitty was very suspicious at first but I fed her using the open section at every meal the first day. She didn't eat the timed meal the first attempt. I decided to use the timer during the day on day two and she ate those. The second 3 am feed she ate everything. Now I know that I have 2 timed meals available so if I wanted to go out I could! The mini ice pack keeps the food fresh even though it's been really warm lately. Honestly I don't know what I would do now without it! Well worth it. It has a low battery indicator so I don't have to worry about it and it's easy to reset the timers if I need to. All in all a great purchase!

Our cat took to it right away, great to be able to feed her and go out for several hours - eats every scrap out of it so a real bonus, worth every penny.

Worked well for 2 years but a few months ago it started not opening some times and now it's completely dead. I've changed the batteries several times and I can still hear the clock ticking but nothing happens. Came home to a very hungry cat :( Disappointed as the mechanism is simple enough it should not fault.

Bought this for when we're away for the day; got the three-meal one ie one meal you put on the open dish, and two meals on the timer.I chose the digital timer version, a bit more expensive: as you can set a proper clock - 24 hours or 12 hours - rather than set periods of time between one meal and the next [that's too fiddly.]Cat was afraid the first time the bowl rotated - it makes a rather off-putting noise - but the second time she was fine with it. She tried breaking into it, but it's like Fort Knox!Dishes are ok, just about big enough but you wouldn't want to feed your cat all the time with these, it's tough on the whiskers! [yes, there is a thing called 'whisker fatigue' if a cat has to eat out of too-small bowl - irritates their sensitive whiskers.]However, whilst three tests worked fine, when we actually needed it today as we were out all day - the second meal didn't arrive - the bowl didn't rotate. Fortunately it did serve her the first meal.So it might be a good idea to set out a separate bowl of dry food, just in case. I don't think I'll use this a lot, as it's not totally reliable.The other problem is that the digital timer is the size of a watch face, and the numerals are really small and faint. You can't see them, once you've put the bowl down.So I've given the feeder a 4, but really it's a 3.5; useful but clearly not 100% reliable - but a good gadget when it works!

I liked that you can feed both dry and wet cat food in the timed servings. The ice pack is a great feature for keeping the wet food fresh. I read two independent online reviews of the product, and each one rated the Cat Mate among the top of the 8-10 products that were tested in each review. As suggested in the instructions, I programmed the two timed servings and tested them while we were home. The dish moved at the correct time to reveal each timed serving. I liked that it was easy and intuitive to program the current time and the times for the two servings.

I was looking for an automatic feeder for my dog. Seemed like all of them were fancy wifi enabled expensive feeders. I decided to try this one for cats. It's perfect. Holds 1 cup of kibble and a treat so I can sleep and she can eat!

I needed a simple feeder so kitty wouldn’t wake me at 5AM. Nothing fancy but it works and only requires one AA battery. I’m returning one that has hard to read, complicated settings and delivered only 20 pellets at a time. If I want to add another feeding I will buy another one of these.

Update: I bought this back in May and it’s July, and for some reason the timer stopped working :( I changed the battery, but it’s disappointing that it stopped working— my cat sadly starved for 8+ hours while I was at work.My cat eats on a schedule, 6 times a day. I work a 10-6 so I’m not always home to give him his 1pm & 5pm meal. The timer does go all the way to 48 hours, but from my observation the ice block is already warm after 8 hours and my home room temperature is about 70°F.To the person who suggested putting a bell on the cover: GENIUS! And thank you for the idea. I used two of my cats bell toys and taped it on the top so he can hear it when it opens.Holding the food for 4-8 hours is no problem, I can’t really speak on anything longer since I haven’t tried or had a reason to. The food stays fresh and isn’t dried out. I add two ice cubes to the side where the food stays longer, just for a peace of mind!Works great, my cat learned how to use it the first day I left him home alone. The sound of the bell helps. Great value!!
