Anesthesia and Analgesia for Veterinary Technicians

This book was great for my understanding of anesthesia and analgesia in the nursing setting and surgery. The book goes into great detail on EVERYTHING related to anesthesia and the anesthesia machine. You will know every part, how it works, how to tell if it doesn't work and how to use it. This is so critical in clinic. The writing style is so easy to read; you will get through it in no time!Also, the book does a great job at detailing the drug classes and their properties. Emphasis is made on which drugs are compatible and which are not, which is so helpful! For people who already took Pharmacology, this book is a great review on the controlled substances and analgesics. I hope this is as helpful to you as it was for me!Happy reading!

I love this book as a beginning resource for vet techs. It has just enough information to inform the readers without intimidating them. I've grown out of it but use it all the time for teaching purposes.

Excellent description of each of the drugs within their category along with benefits, adverse effects and other materials along with anesthesia and analgesia.Would recommend this textbook.

It's a great resource for vet students. There are lots of books you buy and never pick up again, but I think this will be one which will remain on my bookshelf for years to come. Well-presented, accessible information.
