Best jump rope I've ever purchased
I went through three jump ropes before finally deciding to give up on stores around where I live and to give the internet a chance. This rope had great reviews, so I figured it would be worth a try... It had arrived, in an awesome bag no less, with adjustable screws to modify the length of the rope. The rope itself is sturdy but also TANGLE-RESISTANT!!! This is a very big deal and a huge perk! In comparison, the three failed jump ropes mentioned before all had the major flaw of tangling at every other revolution. The handles are great, not bulky but instead, slim and minimalistic, stressing my performance when I speed jump rope. Most other handles that I've dealt with either have been a little too big, with round, knobby edges or felt flimsy. This was the perfect medium! I thought the whole screw-adjusting system would be complicated since I've never dealt with that in a jump rope before, but it actually has enlightened me to how jump roping doesn't have to be nearly as much of a struggle depending on your height. I'm short, at 5'2", so this was a perk. With all of the benefits of this rope, the jump roping experience has really been streamlined for me, at least. Now the only thing standing between me and my workout is pure stamina!

Great materials and quality - incredible value!
Very good quality materials are used starting from the steel rope which is encased in some sort of heavy duty slightly clear plastic to the smooth bearings. The finish of the rope is very slick and seems like it'll hold up a long time. If you grab the handle and spin it, the bearing will go 10 revolutions easily; speaking to the quality of the bearings. I've only had it a couple of weeks and it is holding up great. I'm 6'-2" and the longest setting is too long for me. This rope could probably work for someone as tall as 6'-6". I had to shorten it by about 2" on each side. Luckily the screw mechanism is very easy to adjust just with your fingers - no screw driver necessary. On top of that they give you extra screws! The final cherry on the top is the little plastic "screw clamps" that hold your rope perfectly wound so it's not a mess of cords in your gym bag. Very useful addition - I'm always for trying to keep things as neat and tidy as possible. See my pictures for illustrations. For $10, probably one of the best ropes you can get. And from what I read about the owners of the company and their warranty, seems like these folks will be more than happy to get a new rope over to you ASAP if your current one breaks for whatever reason.

Good Purchase for Fitness Training. Highly Recommended
This jump rope product is an ideal option for users for are looking for a speed rope primarily for fitness training. It is made of extremely good quality material and has a nice finish. It has a simple design and is built for intense workout sessions. The rope itself is extremely lightweight because of which it can be used as pre-mixed martial arts, cardio workout. The handles have a good grip, fit well into the palm of your hand and do not feel heavy or like they will slip off during the workout. The length of the jump rope is adjustable making it fit for users from all age groups. I purchased the product for its durability and so far, it is still like new. I have been through a fair share of jump ropes and this seems to be doing better than most of them. It may look very simple but it boosts a tough and sleek design. Another criterion, was whether it would get tangled in my gym pack. I can say that the way the rope has been made, it does not tangle. It eliminates the minutes spent untangling rope and helps you use your time effectively towards your training. The rope comes with extra bearings that can be used to quickly adjust the length of the rope. My friend is 6ft 6inches and uses the same rope as I do. The stylish design of the solid handle and ideal attachment of the rope on the handle, makes for a very smooth workout session. It is gradually wider towards the end and provides for a comfortable hold on the rope. The cable moves with the motion set by the handle effortlessly and does not require any extra effort in picking up the pace. The adjustable feature of the rope makes it nice for switching between training routines and altering the workout style. The seller provides excellent customer service with tracking emails before the product arrives and post arrival, checking in on customer satisfaction with the product. They also provide their customers with tips on the different ways they can use the jump rope as well as some techniques on training and incorporating the rope into their everyday workout routine. All in all, it’s a great product and would highly recommend it as the product for a quick fitness workout before a mixed martial art training session.

Jump Rope isn't just for the school yard anymore
This is a great jump rope : it's thin and lightweight, and dead easy to set up and get going. It doesn't really feel "premium", but it's definitely sturdy and I'm sure will last for a long time. I'm 5'4 so there was some customisation needed...but that's just a matter of loosening a screw and moving it to adjust the position of the handles and then retightening. It's quicker than tying my shoes. I can tell the team at Survival and Cross love what they do - a day before I received my rope they had emailed me a guide on how to size up the rope. Hint : you tap on the rope with one foot, bring both handles straight up (equally). The handles should start around you armpits - so you can adjust and play around with it there. The rope is a steal for the price and I'm looking forward to putting in some solid hours on this thing. As I had to shorten the rope, there is some excess rope sticking out the handle. Easy enough to just take some scissors and cut it off. I just wish there was some way to kind of store that inside the handle so I wouldn't have to cut it off ...to share with my slightly taller roommates! But it's hardly an issue.

Plastic tab snapped off the handle after about an hour
I'm new to jump rope, so I don't feel qualified to give a 1 star rating. I'm probably holding it wrong, and after about 15-20 jumps I land on the rope. I theorize that if someone never ever makes a mistake in their jumping, that this is a fine rope. It's fast and light weight. Just not suited for beginners. Every time I landed on the rope, the plastic tabs that attach the rope to the handles bent down a little bit. After about an hour or two total of use, the right hand plastic tab was bent straight down at a near 90 degree angle and the rope was rubbing against the handle, and the left one was bent down to about 45 degrees. I bent them back into place and the next time I used the rope the tab snapped off, rendering the equipment useless. It's an inexpensive rope. It's fast. Any gripes about the rope "hurting" when it hits you are nonsense (it doesn't hurt any more than the plastic bead ones, or the leather ones, or the vinyl ones we had back when I was in school). I saw some reviews about it coming apart, which is also nonsense because there's screws on the end and you can make them as tight as you want. I bought it because most of the negative reviews I saw were these kinds of things, which didn't discourage me as I own a screw driver and am not afraid of getting hit by a jump rope. However, there's a fundamental design flaw in a jump rope that has a thin flat piece of plastic affixing the rope to the handle, because of course through normal use it's going to bend, and the kind of plastic they use isn't the super durable kind that you can bend back and forth for an hour, but the kind you bend once and it cracks, then bend back up and down again and it snaps off. Also, returning it was hassle free, so there's that.

Best rope out there
This is the best speed jump rope I've ever used. I have tried many over the years, and I always felt like it was hard to find a rope where the balance between the weight of the cable and handles was just right. Either the handles were too light and flimsy, or the rope itself was too light and flimsy to be able to do anything with, feeling like you had to whip your wrists forward uncomfortably to be able to get any type of speed...Even on the so called "speed ropes." However, the survival.and cross speed rope exceeds all expectations. The handles are light, yet durable, and the rope, or in this case, cable, is perfectly balanced. I have been training with this rope hard since I bought it a few months ago and it hasn't let me down yet. The unlimited adjustability is also another reason why I've found this rope to be the best. If you need to adjust the cable 6 inches, 12 inches, or even half an inch, just loosen and adjust. I found that it was great to find the sweet spot on my rope length without having to constantly cut the rope. Between the quality product and the over the top excellent customer service that Survival and Cross provides, I would highly recommend this rope and would give it 6 stars if I could :-)

After a couple of years of on again off again use, I've decided I actually hate this jump rope.
I bought this rope about 2 years ago and used it extensively for a little while. I thought it took some getting used to, as I was having more trouble than I remember when I jumped rope for training ~8 years previously. After a few months of using it, I stopped for a while (started running rather than jumping rope). I recently picked the rope back up a week or two ago. Importantly, I used other people's jump ropes occasionally in the year or so that I didn't use this one. I found their jump ropes to be very easy compared to mine. I think it's just that this rope is not good. Here's my pros and cons list: PRO: 1. Cheap 2. Small/Lightweight* I took this rope to Africa and it fit 3. Adjustable** CONS: 1. *Lightweight: means it doesn't keep it's inertia as well and you have to swing it faster for a more consistent experience, and it's also more likely to stop it's rotation if you knick your foot. This is a major drawback for me, and it seems like my technique topped out at a lower skill threshold than with other ropes. 2. **Adjustable. It's a bare-bones jump rope. You have literally a wire with a plastic coating, handles, and a screw and thread system to keep the handles on. It doesn't always work though! If the screw loosens enough, it will come off and the rope will fly out of the handle. Then you have to find the screw/metal part and reassemble it. I jumped rope for a little over 20 minutes this morning and this happened 3 times. 3. Painful. Since this rope is so thin and so light, you swing it pretty fast. That means when you make a mistake and the rope hits your leg/back/hand it's actually quite painful. All in all, this is a jump rope that works. However, I can't stand using it. It's not only apt to break apart and need reassembly, but it's painful when you screw up! I believe this jump needs a higher skill to jump as consistently as thicker/heavier ropes, which is somewhat infuriating when you're trying to get the best workout you can get.

Great Jump Rope, Superb Customer Service.
After speaking with a friend about how to get back into shape, he suggested that I jump rope. I went to look for one on Amazon and this was one of the ones that had the best reviews. I understand why. I have been using it for the last week - twice a day and it's been an amazing source of exercise. I've already begun noticing the results. But that's with any jump rope. If you're wondering why I should go with this; customer service. Mary and a few others have been helping me along the way. I received the product and I first had to resize it via wire cutters; this was when I realized how tough this rope is. I am jump roping on pavement so it's bit risky and I wasn't sure how long it would hold. So within the first few days, the coating was torn off -- then the coils began breaking slowly. It's been a week and yeah, it's almost gone. But here is the best part; I responded back to FMS and let them know whats been going on. No questions asked; they are replacing it for me -- no extra fee -- nothing. I was hesitant about their 'lifetime warranty' because nothings ever like that. I can assure you, they stick to it. So in the end, I got another one. I want to continue jump roping while the other one comes in. For $10 per jump rope and no hassles, this takes the cake - no doubt about it.
