Amazing
Bought this to help me transition from a late model F350 with a dash that had every available bit of info, to a Freightliner Sport chassis with 6 analog gauges. Loaded the app onto an 8" Galaxy Tab that fits perfectly onto the dash space. The loading and changing the gauges is actually fun, and I am fine tuning continuously. Everything works as advertised. Support is thru the roof. Very very happy with this buy.

Worth the peace of mind when you’re on the road
Shortly after we purchased our Motorhome, we were driving on the freeway and got a check engine light. The coach was still drivable, but we didnt know if it was still safe to drive or not. So we pulled into the nearest Cummins shop and asked them to look at it. They refused to work on Motorhomes, but we convinced him to please hook up his computer and read the error code for us. Once we had the code number, we could look it up and saw that it was OK to drive to our next destination. That made us realize that we need to be able to analyze our engine ourselves. That’s where this 9-pin engine reader comes in great. It connects under the dash and has a Bluetooth to our iPhone. Six months later, we got another check engine light, but this time, we could read the code ourselves and knew what the problem was. It’s great having the peace of mind and know how to diagnosis the problem, makes it easier when you call the shop for an appointment. Highly recommend.

Good as far as it goes; For the adventurous, you can write your own code for even more access.
REVISED OPINIONThe hardware seems solid and the app is pretty good on an Android tablet. Easy to use and set up for what they allow you to see. I was originally disappointed because there are some parameters not available in their standard software, but I missed the fact that they publish the information needed to access their adapter. So you have full access to anything which is on the bus in your particular vehicle. I can see a lot of experimenters using this hardware and information to start a whole slew of third party apps to make this even more useful in the future.

No, Not through Amazon
The product is very good but the biggest problem was ordering it online through Amazon. I made the mistake of ordering it through Amazon and actually paid $12 to $15 more than if I had ordered through Bluefire, LLC. A friend of mine ordered his through the company10 days after I ordered mine and he got it 2 days before I did. So save your money and order through the manufacturer.

Easy to set up
The interface with an IPhone is super easy. I now have visibility of cruise control speed that was never built in on my dash. I installed in my 2001 Monaco Dynasty.

Major Bluetooth Connectivity Issues
Save your money and do not purchase this product. If you do you will spend several hours developing a dash to your liking. The learning curve is steep but attainable. However this isn't the real problem with the product. The real problem is the bluetooth connectivity. There is a way to measure the bluetooth signal between the product and your iPad. Using this method one could theoretically locate ones iPad in the best location for reading and signal reception. For me that was ~ 3ft from the product and just above my main dash. The bluetooth signal was reported as barely good at this position, all others I tried were marginal. Within 10 minutes of starting my trip, the iPad lost the signal and the screen froze. Reset the screen and within 10 minutes encountered the same issue. Tested bluetooth signal by the placing the iPad next to the product expecting a very good to excellent signal reading. But nooo. Only had a marginal signal. One can only speculate what the issue is at this point, the mfg only used a weak bluetooth transmitter, too much data transfer for the bluetooth transmitter, etc. In any case, if the product consistently loses connection to the iPad display, the product is of no use.

Triggered the check engine light and ABS light
Upon plugging the BlueFire in, the iPad found the BF easily and set up was easy as well as designing a dash. After about 20 minutes into our trip my speedometer, odometer stopped working. At the same time the check engine light came on, cruise control quit working and the ABS light illuminated. I suspected the BF and pulled over. Turned off the engine, restarted and still had the problem. Then shut down the engine and disconnected the BF. Upon restart all the coach operations returned to normal. I really want this BF to work, having had VMSpc for 16 years and liked the idea of the iPad, iPhone to view the engine gauges.I contacted the manufacturer and received no response from an email and voice mail. Finally I received a email after leaving another voice mail with a few questions asked that I responded to. That was the last contact from the manufacturer...even though I followed with another email. At this point, I hope I can still send it back like the manufacturer stated in their email.I think this is a great way to go if it will work for you. This was installed in a 2005 Blue Bird Wanderlodge with a Cat C13 engine and 9 pin plug.
