Do i need the original key to get into the car? What is the solution to this?

I recently had a second key fob programmed at the Genesis dealership. I had my original key fob and key to unlock the door with me for my 2012 Genesis Coupe. I also purchased a Key Fob for my mother-in-law 2005 Cadillac, which the original key-fob was totally destroyed. The dealership programmed her New key fob with no problem. Therefore, you do not need the original key fob to get into the car, but you do need the original key to get into the car.

Can this be taken apart to change battery

Yes it can be taken apart. However, the green board didn’t work for me. I had to use the green board from my old key fob plus the battery for it to work.

Does this work with a 2011 hyundai sonata se?

I dont know. I'd call the Dealer Parts Department to inquire. Better yet, GO THERE to compare.

Can this be used to start a 2011 sonata?

Don't know about 2011 but worked for a 2013.
