Thick and clear, nice option for lens protection
I didn't imagine how thick this filter until it is broken, it provides a good protection for the lens. Once its broken I ordered another one

Exactly as ordered. Good quality.
The product arrived exactly as ordered and was of good quality. This is a lifesaver for anyone who wants to protect their valuable lenses. I recommend it be used on every lens. Would be easy to replace an inexpensive filter/protector rather than the entire lens.

Glass disengage from its frame
I hear the sound like something is moving when I turn my camera. I finally found the sound coming from the filter. The glass is moving around because it disengage from its frame. The locking ring is loose. So it easy fix just turn the locking ring to lock the glass in place but I not happy. I also got flare and ghost. So it is not good coating too.

It was unusable
“I was excited to try the 49mm Tiffen UV filter on my FUJI X100VI, but unfortunately the quality wasn’t great. The glass moved around inside as soon as I mounted it, which doesn’t inspire confidence. Maybe I just got a bad copy, but it feels poorly made.”

It's cheap for a reason
This filter doesn't have any coatings especially for reflections. Get a different one.

Does the job but not happy with how it reacts to long duration of storage.
I use silica gel packs in all my storage areas whether I'm bag or in a cupboard for years. But somehow the newer filters don't seem to have the same coatings as before. This is not a scientific review or even comparison to my previous purchases do take that with a grain of salt. Its easily cleaned though with standard filter/lens cleaning procedures.

I had a Hoya 1B HMC Skylight before, which broke over a pebble and saved my Sigma 30mm f/1.4 (on a Canon 40D house) when I dropped the bag (a Soligor Classic Line, size M) from about 1m / 3.5ft. I decided on this filter mainly for the cost savings compared to a Hoya or Dörr etc, and am very pleased. I'm not a pro photographer, and use this filter mostly indoors (as mentioned above, it sits on the front of a 30mm f/1.4), so UV influx is rarely a problem anyway. That said, I haven't noticed any bad influence at all of this filter on the picture quality I get, and the fit (thread size and cap compatibility) is great and build quality seems all good so I'm a happy sailor.

I usually buy Tiffin lens filters. I like the company and the quality of the filters. I have a few different kinds of filters from Tiffin for different cameras. I would say you have a good filter and can trust this company for its consistant quality.
