The seaforth rain hood is made of lightweight, flexible, and quiet, waterproof nylon. The design has evolved with input from Tour professionals and their caddies to give the clubs maximum protection from the elements while allowing easy one-hand access to clubs during play. The hood attaches to the bag quickly and easily with a combination of elastic, snaps, and Velcro for a snug fit. There is enough room inside the cover to store a towel during play and when your round is finished the rain hood rolls up to the size of a sleeve of balls for easy storage in your golf bag.

Excellent!
Hard to get too excited by this but it does everything it’s supposed to. Unlike the pathetic waterproof hood which came with my Sun Mountain H2NO cart bag, there is enough length to cope with my driver and the opening is nice and big so getting clubs in and out is simple. It clearly has to fit a wide range of bags and it certainly fits my Motocaddy waterproof carry bag and the H2NO cart bag well enough. Not perfect but there is no risk of it falling off or being blown off either. The cover is thick enough to feel strong without being cumbersome and it is relatively quiet and soft to the touch. If you can’t be bothered to take the cover off when it’s dry, it can easily be rolled up and left in place without getting in the way. Highly recommended.

Doesn't quite look like the photo - but read on ... ..
You would need to be pretty neat with how you laid out the clubs in the bag to hold up the rain hood as it looks in the photo. But having said that the Seaforth is extremely effective and it sort of operates like a rain cover designed to keep clubs dry as designed by North Sea Fishermen. It's quite voluminous and generous with the waterproof cloth that now covers the top of my bag. I can put a medium towel in on top of the clubs and everything stays as dry as you could expect in even the toughest of conditions (those day when you are out on the whole course with no more than ten other hardy souls!). After playing a miserable two days in the rain in Yorkshire I wanted to be ready for the winter and this hood was my first buy along with some waterproofing spray for the bag and my winter clothes. I'd can still say that after quite a few rain days this cover does the job better than the ones I've had before - the ones issued with the bags. It's a big, tough, ugly, cover - but it does the job better than any other I've had.Update - I've now moved on to a Sun Mountain H2NO bag which comes with a waterproof rain-cover for the top of the bag - but it's no way as easy as this one - the standard cover would be great as a travelling cover or on a very windy day; but the Seaforth is a bit like a cycling cape and feels like a huge waterproof flap covering everything. Benn using it in all sorts of heavy downpours and evenything stays dry. I can imagine a caddy bringing one with him and replacing the standard one with this as it will keep everything dry - there would even be room to tuck the towel around the top of the clubs with this one.

Best rain hood (ever)
I've played golf for 40 years and have not seen a better rain hood. It keeps my clubs dry and access is very good. A bit tricky to fit but once on you can roll the edges up around the bag when not in use and quickly set it up when the rain comes. I tend to leave it on the bag in the wetter months. Strong, durable material. Packs very small when not needed. When I buy a new bag I dump the supplied rain hood (even on the Sun Mountain bags). Very good value as well. What's not to like??

this is a great rain hood and a good size
this is a great rain hood and a good size with a Velcro strap.even if your clubs are staggered in height going up toward the back, this hood will still cover them easily with room to spare.the quality is good and does keep the rain off.the only slight negative is that it doesn't line up with all of my bags press studs but still gives good protection.I would definitely recommend this rain hood.

Get this for your winter golf
Absolutely spot on this.Got it to replace the one I got with the Bagboy bag that I use in the winter and it fits exactly.I use a Powacaddy bag in the summer and it also fits that with ease. These Seaforth covers are far better than the ones you get with the bags when you buy them new. They're supple, elastic and large enough to fit virtually every bag and due to the design it really does keep your clubs completely dry.

Not as the picture
Thought it was to work like the hood of a child's pram. Not so. Just a larger rain cover. I kept it anyway although I was most disappointed. The picture is very deceiving, my opinion.

Very good rain hood
Well made and appears to fit most stand bags apart from the tiny pencil no issues

The idea is excellent, but for cart bags
The idea is excellent, but for cart bags, which are a bit larger than carry bags, it is a little short on circumference and the press studs are not correctly located.
