Really good value and does what I need it to.
Bought for silversmithing. These are really good and great value for money. Lenses are great and give good close up viewing, although the single round lense doesn’t seem to be much use as it doesn’t focus. I love the light which is centred and the angle can be changed. I use this a lot and this is a huge benefit over other models which I have also used, that don’t have a light or the light is off to the side. Really happy with this and would buy again.

Good for the money
They are a bit heavy so tend to slip down in use. The torch moves up and down and left to right to aim quick accurately at where you're looking. Work well if a bit plasticky, fine for the money.

Super useful for a huge range of tasks!
Whether you're a fan of crafting, sculpting, painting, modelling, nail art or you're a humble knitter/sewer (as in you sew, not that you're full of cra..), this headband magnifier is a great, lightweight way of getting a closer look at your work without needing to grow another pair of hands! The actual magnification level depends on what you have flipped up/down; 1.5x, 3x, 6.5x, and 8x are the different levels of magnification, which should be sufficient for the vast majority of users. The lenses themselves in my unit were blemish-free (I've bought equivalent ones in the past which certainly were not!), and are fixed securely in the headband. Speaking of which, the materials and construction all round do leave a bit to be desired, but to be fair, they're quite cheap (at time of writing), and I wouldn't want a more 'premium' finish if it would increase the weight, as currently the whole lot is lightweight enough to kind of forget about whilst you're going into a trance, staring at a single stitch or speck.

Very useful but ...
I bought this to help with my aging eyesight when doing cross stitch. It is undoubtedly a good idea and the light is very helpful too. My only issue is that it is very 'clunky' to wear- adjusting not too bad, but i did initially have the plastic front piece fall down on the bridge of my nose quite heavily - and that hurt. I also find that the rigid plastic rubs a bit so have cut a small piece of sponge to help with this. (Silicone would be softer but dearer i am sure) All in all, I do use it, but not as much as I had hoped because of these issues.

Quite surprised
After getting this out of the packaging and thinking, oh bugger! This looks and feels cheap and nasty, I was quite surprised that the lens does what it's supposed to, and the light actually works. I wanted this item for learning to tie fishing rigs together so I could make my own, as my eyesight struggles a bit to see the eye of a hook ,and it works great, so very pleased.

These are the business!!
I have found as I hit 50 that my eyes are nowhere near what they once were. This has changed everything and I don’t know what I’d do without them now. Light and comfortable to wear considering the cheap price. There is a flip down set of lenses so you can choose the magnification and you can use the single extra lens for specially high magnification. Superb for detailed work. I repaired a small digital clock with these on and use them for any fine work, like touch up paint on the car, electronics and splinter removal. Superb for the money!

It is what it is
Bought this as a backup - used for painting model soldiers. I have two others, one cost £45 from a maker of model soldiers (more durable perhaps but grossly overpriced) with three different lenses; the other was from a local store in Lincolnshire (Boyes) and cost £7 which is fantastic value. Both are probably better made than this but it is perfectly adequate - not super quality, but not tat either. Perfectly adequate.

Mixed feeling on this...updated
I have started to struggle with close up work so I thought I would give these a try. They work fairly well but I do find I end up very close to the work, in fact too close. It is good that I can still wear my prescription glasses under them, but I thing the lenses are too close together for me. The distance between my pupils is 73mm, (and anyone wearing glasses with understand the importance of this) and the PD of these lenses seems to be about 50mm, so quite small for me. I like that the second magnifying lens folds up inside the unit out of the way, but still attached. The single extra eyeball lens can be moved to the opposite side, which I will do as my other eye is stronger. I've not needed to use the light yet, but I'm sure it's fine. It can also be turned a little to focus on the subject or a little off it to avoid glare. I do have a big ish head, and the band fits comfortably and the knob on the back is easily turned to tighten or loosen it. UPDATE, that knob I just mentioned had got worse at holdind and has now failed. The goggles are now useless for more than me to use as I will have to glue or tape them in a fixed position.
