My hole was at bottom of pool. I tried but cannot see how this would work without draining pool.Hole on side of pool sure. The glue starts to harden pretty quickly and by the time I got it spread over hole had no adhesion at all.

This was easy to use and has held all season. It wasn't even very messy. I just got in my pool, I didn't even drain it, followed the directions, and found a large round rock to put on the patch. I ended up doing 2 patches, because the pool was on its second season and we went through a move, but both patches have held fine. I still have enough for another patch or two

I bought this just in case I got a hole. Didn't feel great about the buy because I didn't 100% believe it would work under water. Days later I got a large hole on the bottom of the pool near the edge. I think my son caused the hole, but that's another story. My son called for me and told me about the hole, water was gushing out. I had him put his foot on it, then ran to get the repair kit, jumped in, read the directions quickly, applied it under water and held it there. After a few minutes I let go and wow, it worked. I thought it would come off after a while, but it didn't. It stayed on for the rest of the summer. Great buy!

As far as sealing a hole, I suppose it's adequate. We didn't actually have a hole through our liner, more like a scuff that we wanted to reinforce. The problem with this product is the application design. Several reviewers advised to put the glue on the patch, fold it in half, and take it under to apply to the wall. Only open it immediately, under water, before placing it on the wall. Well, it's very difficult to get the patch unfolded under water. When you finally do, it's almost as if the glue has started to eat through the plastic. It took a few times to finally get it to stick and even after that, it's not pretty. It's still stuck so I guess it's doing it's job but applying it shouldn't be so difficult.

i used this on a weeping waterbed seam that 2 previous attempts with other products failed after some monthsso time will tell more, but after coupla weeks, so far -- problem solvedthere is no place for patching material, so i cant speak to that aspect -- just 2 coats seems to workthis stuff is much "thicker" than other products ive usedalso, its clear in the tube AND after its set -- which it does quicklyand im impressed enough to write my rare reviewR

Works on outside of pool but doesn't hold underwater like it says.

Worked awesome...found 4 holes due to covid cant get a new liner so this was a great fix!!!!

We had a small tear in our vinyl pool liner and were unsure what product would work. We have an inground pool and this product worked great. Application was very easy and we haven't had any issues since we applied the patch a couple of months ago.

great product, have used on swimming pool side & pool inflatable collar, holes under water no problem. had a couple of pierce holes in the inflatable collar on pool some under water line. for best result let some air out and cut patch of big sheet in pack to allow an inch clear all way round hole, smear glue on back of patch and then press into place pressing patch from centre out to move glue all the way around. found that any glue escaping floated on top of water and could scoop out with kitchen towel. one patch did not seal properly so had small air tube under patch allowing air out, pushed glue into tube and let set all good pool working 100%great kit comes with big vinyl sheet to make many different size patches would recommended

Terrible product. Bought it to patch a couple of tiny holes close to the top of the pool. Despite following the instructions, the glue didn't stick and worse, it dissolved the surface paint of the pool liner. I gave up fearing it was doing more harm than good

the can of glue inside the box was dried up, i had to by some patch glue
