The way that my system is set up, there's very little I can do about bass feedback. My table sits on a cabinet that must touch one speaker based on the (lack of) size of my room. As a result, at higher volumes I experience a bit of a hum when records hit silent points or the runout.So I purchased one of these... and I can definitely tell when I forget to use it. I'll still need to reorganize my setup to get a proper hum free existence, but this guy definitely helps me increase my headroom without negative effects.As others have mentioned, there is definitely more of a crispness to the sound when using this weight. More defined, one might say. Overall, I'm happy I purchased it, and although I wondered about the price before it arrived, I don't now.

Ik wilde dit eens proberen, de idee is door een verhoging van het traagheidsmoment de draaisnelheid van mijn Thorens TD126 III met SME IV arm te stabiliseren en resonanties te dempen. De snelheid was klaarblijkelijk wel stabieler, maar met deze puck verdween elk detail in de weergave en trad er zware feedback op in mijn Audio Technica OC 9 MIII. Resonantie ontstond dus door het toepassen van deze puck. Blijkbaar werkt het systeem niet bij mij. Ik heb het item aan mijn lokale HiFi dealer gegeven om te kijken of het bij andere sets wel werkt.
