Build iOS Games with Sprite Kit: Unleash Your Imagination in Two Dimensions 1st Edition

I started reading a library owned copy of the book yesterday and used XCode 6.1.1 with an IOS 8.1 target to enter the example code. Unfortunately the examples presuppose an earlier version of XCode so setting up the first example program took a little extra effort. Once I looked into the changes and adjusted my project the code worked and was both educational and interesting. I entered the code through half of Chapter 2 (ship shoots asteroids). Reading ahead suggests even more useful information.Neither the author or the publisher has provided information on how to make the examples work with newer development tools despite repeated enquiries in the book's forum. Maybe it requires more effort than I expended to get all the way through the book? Or the market doesn't exist? Regardless, the book feels abandoned which is the main reason for my 3 stars.
