It sucks
My trusted Rodmi battery died after 6 years , consulting Which magazine this one got a high score and was described as phenomenal and at a good price. Pros: excellent suction, you won't need turbo. Battery replaceable. Comes with lots of accessories which are all stored on the supplied charging stand. The main tube bends to fit under furniture. Very quiet on default setting and emptying is straightforward and not very messy. Cons: it's heavy and bulky so if you are frail or have arthritis this may not be for you. It will only charge when stored on its stand, this is bulky so you will need room for it. You need a screw driver to switch out the hard floor roller for the carpet brush (what was the designer thinking). There are reviews of the bin catch breaking so care is required . It sucks well because there is little air loss around the head and it will stick to the floor like a limpet. This means it will lift some light rugs and in turbo you may not be able to push it. Often out of stock because of Amazon's low price. All in all a brilliant cleaner if you can get hold of one

Disappointing Build Quality and Usability
Was originally quite happy with this product as it is a pretty capable machine for the price, but after a few weeks I am wishing I never bought it. The main reasons for this are: 1) Build quality - After just a couple of months of use, the ~1mm thin strip of plastic that holds the cylinder latch closed snapped, meaning the device is now useless and I'm going to have to contact the manufacturer. Making this moving part so flimsy is a bizarre design choice. 2) Difficult to empty - Opening the latch to empty the cylinder does almost nothing, as all the dust and dirt gets stuck around the top, meaning you basically have to disassemble the whole thing (which is quite heavy and awkward) every time you need to empty it, getting dust absolutely everywhere on the process. On top of this, if you don't thoroughly clean the filter inside the cleaner every few weeks, suction becomes rubbish, and it is a pretty gross job to clean out all the caked on dirt. 3) General usability - The ergonomics of this aren't terrible overall, but it is pretty top heavy and I don't find the handle very comfortable. Also, the carpet head is a nightmare for getting hair stuck in it, as it doesn't have any sort of functionality for removing it, and you need a screwdriver to remove the roller. Other brands do this much better.

Almost a Dyson ! or so we thought !
Our Dyson V8 died after years of daily use (2 Labradors) also just moved house which is all carpeted. Bought this on sale at almost half RRP. After reading it is a WHICH best buy, no wonder it is brilliant, easy to assemble, nice charging system, lasts ages on a charge - we only use low setting as on full can hardly move it the suction is that strong. Cons are it is slightly shorter than the Dyson so angle of use taking some getting used to, the dust collector a bit smaller than we are used to. The floor bar makes a squeaky sound (Which moan about this too) a brilliant piece of kit at full price but to get it at half price was a right result. We won’t be going back to Dyson that’s for sure. Above was our initial thoughts from 3 months ago, still a good hoover BUT be careful when emptying the dust bin and cleaning the filters. The filter in the dust bin is awkward to remove which needs to done over a bin/outsid. During the process myself or my Wife lost the internal washable filter and didn't realise hence been using it without...Only noticed this when it stopped working and was having a good look to see what was wrong, I then saw the warning "DO not use without inner filter or this will harm the motor" This now made sense as to why it had packed up...Totally our fault so not worth claiming on garuntee....As i say good hoover especially for the price BUT be careful ! Gone back to Dyson V8 as on sale at moment in Currys

Flimsy plastic catch for dust collector
As a vacuum it works well when it works. This is the second one we've had as the first had a battery that would not charge and was immediately replaced with no issues. After 10 months of use though, the catch for the dust collector container used to open it for emptying broke.. It's very flimsy 2mm thick plastic and broke at an obvious stress point. This is not going to last you long. As a vacuum it's good but as the Which report on which I based the purchase, a bit noisy on full power. But it picks up very well on a hard floor and is easy to handle. We rarely use the actiflex feature as catches are a bit stiff and it doesnt reach half way under a double bed..

A decent vacuum, but delicate and fragile. Don't drop it, ever!
I bought this on the advice of Which?. It died after 13 months of regular use. When it worked it was decent, but the Labrador hairs and dust from our wooden floors clogged the motor, preventing it from spinning. I used to dry-clean the filter each empty cycle too. The vacuum unit itself is compact and powerful enough, but the plastic is quite flimsy. The chamber lid latch was quite brittle and broke after a slight fall, but was manageable to still use. Perhaps this slight fall disrupted the motor, causing its eventual failure, I'm uncertain. The dog brush attachment is really good for the sofas we have too (yep, he's allowed on the sofa!). The other attachments also all work well. I'd say this is a decent vacuum, but not robust like a Henry, et al, so treat it with care if you do buy.

Excellent - for so many reasons!
1. Charging stand doesn’t need to be screwed to wall- is weighted, sturdy, free-standing base 2. Is lightweight to use 3. Suction is amazing plus has a turbo boost as well 4. Pet hair is no problem - the special hard-floor roller (included) is fantastic 5. Stands up on its own if you need to pause 6. Flexible bendy attachment is a plus 7. Attachments fit easily into stand with easy release Can’t find anything to fault it on and for the price it really can be beaten. Excellent product
