Works like magic
Ok I was skeptical. But these are amazing! I’m totally sold! I needed two of these to block off doorways for cordoning off part of my house for a health reason, not construction. I did not think I needed to go in and out much, and probably could have just used plain plastic and sealed off the area. As it turned out I was really glad to have the door openings, and they work perfectly. Very convenient. The plastic is strong, close to the consistency of a shower curtain liner, rather than like the plastic you usually put up for such purposes. You see through it perfectly. In fact, the plastic is so sheer I put extra tape x’s so that nobody would walk into them. I had two doors that needed to be blocked off —one was extra short and one was extra tall so I actually cut off a foot from one and taped it onto the other. The magnet closers are absolutely amazing. Easy to open up and they fall right back together straight as could be - it’s like magic. What is not magic is getting the plastic to stay up. I was prepared with my own painters tape because of lots of reviews here, but the only way I could get it to stay was multiple pieces perpendicular to the edge. And I needed thumbtacks or nails across the top, unfortunately. It’s just too heavy for plain tape. After I used nails on one and thumbtacks on the other I found two little bags of tacks that had been in each package that somehow I missed. So they expect that the tape they provide isn’t going to really work on its own. With the magnets it’s just too heavy. If you need to block off a doorway for construction or for some other reason don’t hesitate on these. They would fit a 3 foot doorway or any conventional doorway but not anything wider than that. They are great!

Good quality
I bought this to block out my living room during a kitchen renovation. The living room only has a doorway but no door and we needed to go in and out of it as well since we stored some items in it during the project. The magnetic closers works well. I like the tacks that come with this to they stay in place. The plastic is pretty thick, not flimsy at all. Only complaint would be the floor portion. I wanted something that stays close so the dust isn’t getting kicked in and and out so I taped the bottom to the floor. Works okay but now it makes it a little harder to get in and out. But still kept the dust out so I’m happy.PS, when taking it down, don’t forget the wall tacks after you remove the border tapes. This way you can use it again later if it’s not too dirty or ripped.

Works unexpectedly well, except for the tape.
This magnetic latch door functions really well once you get it up. Be sure to leave a little slack so the door flaps move around a bit and the magnets find their match. It is easy to push through to open and does pretty good at self closing behind you. My only complaint is the included tape is useless. It is similar to a masking tape and does not adhere well. When I first put the door up it was on the floor the next morning. I replaced the tape with a better tape and all is well now.

Using as a workshop door.
Using this as a workshop door to be used for a few months. I sold the solid door that was there. It's used many times per day by one person and it's holding up really well. Easy to pass and is keeping the dust in the room. Glad I did not get a zipper version, which would be a pia. I'm pleased and would buy again.

Magnetic closure is SOO convenient!!
This is great stuff!! I thought I ordered one of the zipper tarps but was pleasantly surprised with my GOOF! We are renovating our master bathroom and it’s working great. Being able to walk in and out, with hands full of supplies is important, and the magnetic tarp seals up right behind you. I will definitely order again for our next messy project!!

Great concept but poor quality
I bought this for some home reno work and loved it at the start. The tape doesnt stick well and the thumbtacks that come with it wont stick in drywall or stay secured in wood. It lasted maybe 2-3 weeks before it started to get holes in the plastic itself.I love the idea of it and it helped create a barrier but its not long lasting

Magnetic Self Closure Works Great! High Quality, Reusable Dust Barrier
Don't let the price of this dust barrier deter you. The magnetic closure is so convenient and works much better than the cheaper zipper types. I used it in in a high traffic area so we didn't need to unzip and zip each time we went through. Durable so it is easily removed and reused.

Very effective at keeping out dust.
I ordered three of these for all the doorways in my diningroom. They were very effective in containing the dust from sanding dry skim coats of joint compound after repairing a badly damaged plaster wall due to a water leak from the upstairs master bathroom shower. I was pleasantly surprised at how strong the magnetic closing system worked. They stayed shut and were easily opened multiple times as we entered and exited the room. My only suggestion would be to add a handle to each side of the panels to facilitate pulling them open when needed. I got creative and crafted my own handles from heavy duty cardboard and attached two handles with duct tape (one to each side of each panel) and that worked like magic. I would highly recommend this item.
