I read about supplementing with Cistanche and Reishi mushrooms to boost your immune system in the January 2015 issue of Life Extension Magazine. I've heard that the flu has been pretty rampant this year, so thought I'd give them a try. So far, no colds or flu for me. It's hard to say whether these products have made a difference, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed. It turns out Cistanche is an anti aging chinese herb. I'm happy that Life Extension was able to focus on the immune benefit aspect of the herb and recommend combining it with the reishi. I already had a fresh bottle of reishi in my vitamin supply, so was glad to be able to buy the cistanche by itself.
