Laminated Bangkok Map by Borch (English Edition)

I like the map but it is -- probably necessarily -- a bit too fine print on the overall Bangkok map. The reverse side of the map has an enlargement of the central area of Bangkok and it is much more legible. I like the coating of the map, it seems that it will be very durable based on similar maps I have used for travel. Maybe a map of the same material in a "booklet" form with a few more pages would be the answer to my dreams. But this is overall a good map.

I carried it around in a map pocket of my shoulder bag, which was the perfect size. I like laminated maps because I can fold them in with any panel facing out. This map was very useful for public transportation, since it has BRT/MRT (rapid transit rail) as well as the river ferry piers and routes. Since we have returned from our trip, I've let my 6 yr old son take this map around to show everyone all the places we went to and how we got everywhere. And I'm sure it will survive until our next trip to Bangkok.

This map helped for my first trip to Thailand. It only covers mainly the core of Bangkok, not the outskirts of Bangkok. There are some free maps that hotels in Thailand give out that are really good, much better than the bought ones. But for those, who need a map to find their way around BKK, this one will get the job done.

this is a must to have when you are going to take a taxi in bangkok. just show the driver where you want to go. no language barrier!

The map was very detailed. It showed more tourist sites than any map available from Fodor's, Friendly Planet or DK. It also listed the public transport (BTS, MRT & River Ferry Ports).

Borch is my go to map when I travel internationally. Unfortunately this map didn't include up and coming neighborhoods and was not clear on navigating the core neighborhoods included in the map.

We bought this map to use on our vacation in Thailand. It has all of the streets on it, however, it's printed in such a way that it's difficult to read. We ended up using the maps they give to tourists, and the GPS on our phone instead of this map.

Have used this map over my last five trips to BKK. It's just the best map of Bangkok there is. Stands up to the heat, spills, and constant use. Legible, easy to use. Don't waste your money on others if you can get ahold of this map.

A good map I wish they do more provinces instead of sticking to a set number of cities Second and third cities of some countries would be very useful

Wir machten im September '14 während unseres Thailandaufenthalts einen Kurztripp nach Bangkok. Da wir keine Lust auf Führungen hatten, haben wir uns zuvor einen Plan für jeden Tag anhand der Karte erstellt. Es hat alles bestens funktioniert. Selbst wenn mal nicht mehr weiß, wo man sich befindet..Karte raus, nach Thai-Name der Straße sehen und schon ist man wieder im Rennen ;-)Wir können die Karte jedem empfehlen: Detailreich, Wasserfest (sehr gut wegen der hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit) und unverwüstbar!

Die Karte ist robust und hat uns in Thailand häufig weitergeholfen, wenn Einheimische uns nicht verstehen konnten und Taxifahrer uns nicht verstehen wollten. Kann ich wirklich nur empfehlen, habe ich auch schon verschenkt. Bin begeistert.

Mit dieser Karte sind wir durch Bangkok gelaufen als würden wir dort schon immer wohnen. Sehr übersichtlich und sehr stabil durch die abwaschbare Oberfläche.

Durch die wasserfeste Perforierung sehr verschleißfest; insbes. für Bangkok mit seiner extrem hohen Luftfeuchtigkeit würde sich jede andere Karte in Kürze auflösen. Durch die 2 sprachige Ausführung in Englisch und Thailändisch kann man auch mal Einheimische nach dem Weg fragen, indem man einfach auf das Wort deutet. Seh übersichtliche Gestaltung mit allen Sehenswürdigkeiten.
