I purchased this soap five years ago. I got this along with a couple of others and they seemed to dry my skin out a little bit so they were put in the "good soap" box and , not on purpose, forgotten about. Well, today I found that box and to my surprise there was a MILK soap. I immediately tried it....OMG it is still fresh smelling and oh so very creamy and lathers up so rich and thick! What a testament to the quality and craftsmanship of this soap. I am so mad at myself for not already using this, and I am so very happy that it is still in perfect shape. It doesn't dry out my skin but leaves it soft and hydrated. Now I am a forever customer. I am in no way suggesting that you keep this for years before using it. I am just letting you all know that a big mistake on my part has led to a stunning discovery. What excellent soap. This Pre de Provence Artisanal soap, milk scented is the absolute best. I read that it does have milk in it not just a fragrance. If your wondering if it is a good buy, well yes......yes it is. I hope you get to enjoy it as much as I am right now!

Our family has been buying the Pre de Provence Artisanal Soap Bar, enriched with organic shea butter, for 5 years now, and we’re absolutely in love with it! This soap is pure luxury—the scent is heavenly (we’ve tried lavender, rose, and verbena, and they’re all amazing), and it fills the bathroom with a spa-like aroma. The organic shea butter makes it incredibly moisturizing; my skin feels so soft and hydrated after every use, even in the dry winter months. The bar is beautifully crafted, lathers up richly, and lasts a long time, which makes it a great value for the price. I also appreciate that it’s made with natural ingredients and doesn’t leave any residue or dryness like some commercial soaps. It’s gentle enough for the whole family, even for my kids with sensitive skin. After 5 years, we’re still just as obsessed with it as we were the first time we tried it. You know when you have real soap in your hand. It suds up differently. It smells differently. The clean feel of your skin isn't harsh or astringent. This is the feeling your great grandparents had after bathing. Granted, they probably bathed in a tin or wooden tub (maybe a river), but at least their baths didn't involve small bricks of chemically engineered slime that were designed to strip oils from your body as cheaply as possible so the same company could turn around and charge you an arm and a leg for a special moisturizing lotion. Anyways, this company makes superb soap. Tried two varieties (lemongrass and sage) and both exceeded my expectations. They clean without stripping my skin of oil. They foam up superbly and feel great! The natural scents are just lovely. Would recommend to anyone. Also, note that these soaps are very robust. They were designed to be used every few days, not on the daily (unless you have exceptionally oily skin and hair). If you clean just the target areas (where all the smells are ;) daily, but leave off the larger areas, such as legs, arms, and central, cleaning them only every few days, your skin will do a great job of moisturizing itself. Love this soap!

This is the second bar that I've purchased, and it's a different scent. The product is of the highest quality and offers a pleasant, soft texture that is suitable for my sensitive skin..

Outstanding. Nicely made and a good smell.

This is the best bar soap I have found, and the price is a steal compared to some other high end soaps like Fresh or Lush (both WAY overpriced). It treats my skin beautifully. I never have dry skin or any kind of issue from it, and I can have sensitive skin at times. It does not leave a residue like Dove. It doesn't even seem to build up in my shower from what I can tell. I do not like the verbena scent because it smelled too much like household cleaner, so I threw it out and just ordered more of the coconut. I keep a few spare bars in my closet and my closet smells amazing. Edit - Verbena and Sandalwood both smell very odd to me - too fake. They both smell like household cleaners (verbena especially). Also, lavender barely has a smell but has very strong exfoliating particles in it. The best one is really coconut and cucumber. Update: Raspberry also smells incredibly synthetic. I took it out of the bathroom and threw it in the kitchen trash & then had a momentary "oh my god did someone throw up..." until I realized it was the soap & took it outside for good. For the love of god do not buy raspberry. In some of the other reviews, people had to throw it out as well. Lavender smells ok but it is way too rough with the exfoliating fibers (like tree bark - ugh).

Mild moisturizing soap with natural ingredients, very mild fragrance. It is a large bar. I cut mine in half and have one in the shower and one on the bathroom sink. One bar has lasted our 2 member home for about 5 months. I previously used Dove bar soap, but I don't want to ever go back to commercial brands. I hope with the new tariffs the supplier can continue to sell this product.

Love triple milled soap. Great quality, last a long time, excellent lather, wonderful scent.

The exfoliating bits leave my soap dish really messy but the smell and longevity of the soap makes up for it.

I love this Lavender French soap; the scent is true lavender, the crushed lavender flowers are aromatic and there's an abundance of them throughout the bar. I've read some reviews that people don't like the roughness of the soap against their skin - it's fantastic for exfoliation! After a shower using this soap my skin is unbelievably soft and smooth, thanks to the crushed lavender flowers. The fragrance is calming and the bar lasts a long time (mine lasts about 4-6 months). Exactly the same product I used to purchase when travelling to France. Highly recommend.
