Daiso Japan's Cat Repellent Mat- 15.4x15.4x1.1

I'm amazed. We've tried everything to keep our 3 cats off the counters and nothing worked. Within a day of setting this on the countertop the cats learned that jumping up and landing on a bunch of plastic spikes is decidedly unpleasant -- and are now staying off ALL the countertops just in case there are more spikes up there. Is it worth $20? Well, it's just a mat of injection-molded plastic that probably didn't cost more than 50 cents to produce. But -- IT WORKS -- and for that I'd gladly pay twice the price.

I let my cats out on supervised trips on my balcony, but being cats they are easily able to jump up on the wall and dangle over the edge. One my cats is particularly clumsy and though he shows no fear it freaks me out when he hops up. This works pretty well. It doesn't hurt them, but they do mostly avoid the wall with this on it. Cut it up into strips and placed them end to end. Would be nice if there was a way to connect the segments built in. I had to grab some fishing wire and tie the pieces off. I've had this on the wall for three months now, no problems.For anyone curious I stepped on this once accidentally and while it wasn't pleasant, it left no lasting mark on my bare foot.

The second I put the mat down, my cat walked over to it, stepped on it, and promptly started to rip it to shreds with his teeth. This could work for cats who aren’t as bold and awful as mine.

Cats hat them, rats hate them, and rabbits hate them. The rabbits ate the heck out of my hibiscus. Literally left no leaves. The scat mat keeps them away and keeps my plants looking really good.

This worked perfectly!!! The cat took one step on it and never came back. You can bury it in the dirt so just the tips of the spikes are poking out of the dirt. The spikes are not sharp but apparently cats hate them. Easily cut to desired shape/size. WORKS GREAT.

This worked well to keep a cat and a dog out of a garden area. I decided I needed more, so I searched for something cheaper. The Cat Scat Mat from Gardener's Supply Company is similar in design, but not as expensive.

My cat was so unimpressed with this that he pooped in the middle of it. The spikes are sharp and I know because I stepped on it by mistake. It doesn't work

Keeps the cats off the top of the warm computers where the radiators exhaust their heat.
