They're not a true sub, so I didn't use a box, you just install them like any normal aftermarket speaker. If you wanted to put them in a box I guess you could but I couldn't help you with that. I haven't done it enough.

The pair is estimated 15lbs. ~ 7.5lbs a piece. Which is average for a 8" speaker/subwoofer. I have not found any weight restrictions on the harley saddlebag lids, so as long as it isn't flimsy plastic it should be fine.
