These candles are gorgeous in person with a rich, deep black color that looks elegant and dramatic when lit or unlit. They have a surprisingly good burn time and are genuinely dripless — it’s very rare to see any wax dripping, even after extended use. The flames burn clean and steady, which really helps keep candleholders and surfaces neat. They’re tall, well-shaped, and fit standard candleholders perfectly. Overall, these are high-quality taper candles that look great and perform exactly as advertised.

I am very pleased with these candles. They arrived safely in a well padded box laying on a cushion of protective small bubble wrapping in perfect shape. I purchased the candles to complete a Christmas centerpiece that I made for the holidays. I actually wanted 6 inch candles but I couldn't find any so I purchased these 8 inch candles and cut off 2 inches off of the bottoms. Even with me cutting them they still fit very firmly and snugly in my candle holders because the taper is towards the middle and top and not the bottoms. I did buy a stickum substance to aide in securing candles should they wobble or not fit well in their candle holders but I didn't even need it because of the very tight fit I had. Plus I don't burn these anyways; they are for holiday centerpieces that will never be lit. The candles seem to be a very nice quality. When I cut 2 inches off of mine they cut cleanly off with a common utility type razor blade and they inserted nice and very snug in my candle holders. I'm so pleased with how my centerpiece came out - not too bad for an elderly guy who has never made one before. I plan on making a few more so I'll be ordering some more of these candles and this time I'll try some red candles to change up the color. If I have to cut them down in length a bit I know it can be done easily and that they will still fit nice and tightly in my holders. In case anyone might be interested, the candle holders are made by Spode in England and the sleigh is from a Lenox Christmas collection from a few years ago. The pieces look so good together that they appear to be from a matched set. I just love my centerpiece! Here's a photo of it so maybe it will inspire others with ideas and wishes to make a few too. All of the craft materials were purchased here on Amazon; floral foam, little and very realistic looking pine sprigs, small pine cones and red holly berry stems. Even the double-sided floral tape, all here on Amazon. If you do purchase these candles I think you'll be just as happy with them as I am.

Excellent! Five stars. They are lovely and truly drip-less. I don’t understand reviews below that say the color was misrepresented; they are a pale ivory! Melt rate is good too.

Such great candles. They burn perfectly and smell great.

These candles are exactly as advertised !🤗 They are droplets and burn consistently. I ordered a dozen from a different company and they burn part way down and no matter how much you relight them they go out. They also drip. I am so disappointed that I bought too many of the wrong kind. Never again! These candles are exactly what I wanted!!!!

Very nice candle, with deep and saturated colour. Nicely packaged, and burn nicely. Exactly what I was looking for. A little pricey, however, they do seem of very good quality.

They are soft unlike the other ones I got that broke easily, I took one star away only because not all of them were black. One came in gray, light black color.
