Wonderfully Delicious Scrumptious Big Fluffy Mushroom Popcorn 🍿
This popcorn is pricey but totally legit. Great taste. The popcorn pops up huge and fluffy. Not all kernels pop into that desired mushroom shape but most do. A batch is devoured so quickly, no one even notices. I pop 1/2 cup at a time in my stove top Whirley Pop on medium-high heat an only get about 1 to 8 un-popped kernels per batch. I think the higher temp helps to fully pop and achieve the mushroom shape. The kernels are great quality. I've made like 15 batches so far and have only seen 1 kernel that was cracked and I threw out.Tastes great and fresh. My first purchase was a 32 oz./2lbs. It was gone within 10 days and I had to come back to order this 8lbs. bag, which is a way better value by the way. This popcorn is perfect for making our homemade kettle corn! I think it's worth the price. Nom nom nom nom nom. Five stars, two thumbs up, and recommend!

This is the most flavorful popcorn with almost no unpopped kernels.
First off, this popcorn comes in a huge bag. I didn't appreciate how much 8lbs is until I got this in the mail. It comes in a resealable bag however, so I don't have to worry about it going stale. After cooking this popcorn I'm seriously impressed with the quality. Practically every kernel pops up fluffy and big. As you can see in the pictures the vast majority of the bowl looks like the kernels I took pictures of. The thing that impressed me the most though was the fact that all but one popcorn kernel popped. Talk about getting your money's worth. The next thing I noticed, is that all the conversation on the bag singing the praises of their popcorn wasn't just a bunch of "hot air" . The popcorn really does taste better than any other popcorn I've tried thus far. I had no idea popcorn could taste differently than...,well, popcorn. This popcorn has a full flavor and is so fresh. I'm greatly impressed and will be buying this brand from now on.A little note on cooking (they also have a website for assistance): Put your oil in the pan first, and then throw in three or four kernels. Turn on the heat, and wait for the kernels in the pot to pop. Once they do, add the rest of the popcorn that you're cooking and immediately put on the lid. When the popping stops, or slows significantly, it's done. Add your toppings and enjoy.

Lots of hulls.
Really wanted to like this product. Had a fairly high amount of unpopped kernels, which I was okay with. But the hulls were big and tough and prevalent. Not as appealing to chew. Presentation and flavor were fine, but kids asked me to go back to my old brand.UPDATE: I gave the remaining bag to a relative who used an airpopper instead of popping it in the pan and it was significantly better looking and tasting; fully popped and less of the tough hull texture. YMMV!

Puffy puffy corn
Popcorn obsessed here, my husband bought this because we go through the store bought size so quickly. The biggest negative about this popcorn is that the husks are so big that it seems like they’re more abundant. Fixed this problem by “tossing” my popcorn in the bowl when it’s done & they kind of fly out of the bowl. Also, I had to adjust my temperature on the stove to a bit higher because of the size. Overall it’s nice that it’s B a big size bad they’re always fresh, certified GF and non-GMO.

You need more oil than usual for these bad boys.
I came off of the Amish baby white popcorn which popped tender and delicious. The first batch or two I made with the mushroom variety was terrible by comparison. Tough and chewy and full of hulls. The fix seems to be to use a lot more oil. I use a stovetop whirllypop and used to use two tablespoons of coconut oil. For this popcorn I use two ice cream scoops, and a bit of palm oil to add color. With all of the extra oil and salting right away, this popcorn is delicious! And there are not nearly as many hulls, which I believe are further reduced of if you put the heat on high rather than medium high.

Alot of corn flavor, but a lot hulls
Has a nice flavor but, the texture of the popped corn is more coarse. Quite a few unpopped kernels, and more hulls than I prefer. I measured the same amount of kernels and cooked in my stovetop popcorn pan but did not get the same volume of popped corn as my other premium brand (Franklin's). Though for the money it seems to be a good value.

The Ultimate Popcorn!
OK... I have posted some very positive Reviews of Amazon products. Most of them have been 5-Stars. Never have I been so quick to provide a rating review. I have been a popcorn lover since my youth. Back in those days, it was an Iron Skillet, with a bit of lard to pop and a bit of Bacon Grease and Salt for taste. Today, I have tried over and over to find the perfect Popcorn. Theaters come close, but Microwave and Home Popping has never reached the pinnacle of my dream of the ideal Popcorn until just a few minutes ago. My Mushroom Popcorn Kernels by Princeton Popcorn Farm arrived. I opened the "Large" bag and created what has to be the Ultimate Popcorn. When the description said they were large, I assumed they would be larger than usual. They are colossal! The average is larger than a nickel. There are NO small ones, and the taste is something I have never experienced with Popcorn. (Wonderful) The photo is taken with a quarter to compare size. Summary: If you are a person who enjoyed Home Popped Popcorn, the product and the price are waiting for you! EC

Bad bad batch
The attached photo is a 50/50 mix of movie style popcorn (by O.R.) and Princeton popcorn farm grown mushroom popcorn. I have purchased Princeton mushroom popcorn regularly in the past, alternating with a less expensive competitor's mushroom popcorn. This batch from Princeton is awful with NO mushroom shaped popcorn, lots of small popped, and more un-popped kernels. This should have been caught by quality control.
