What's the dietary fiber derived from? not flax I hope

I would not buy this product since it doesn't say what kind of fiber ?

just read about this in a Sunday newspaper supplement magazine article on osteoporosis and it said this is a soluble corn fiber supplement that can help body build and retain calcium at any age, according to Purdue University. Just 10-20 grams per day translated to a 5-7 percent increase in bone calcium retention. In your gut, soluble corn fiber breaks down into fatty acids, which aid your bone health.

I see that some people take less than the 1/2 teaspoon because 50 billion is too much. What does that mean?

It means that with 50 billion some people get indigestion. The thing most people don't seem to un derstand is that once you establish a healthy culture in your digestive tract, you just have to maintain it. 50 billion may be necessary to chase out the unwanted organisms, but 20 million is probably more than adequate for maintenance. It is not like you lose the previous days culture and need to replace it. The beneficial bacteria will colonize and multiply in your gut. Once there, you just have to keep them happy.

How long does a 2oz bottle last, taken as directions state?

Good question. Answer: "I don't know." According to the label, you've got 'about' 38 {1/2 teaspoon} servings - that's about 38 days. That said, I typically take 1/4 teaspoon servings - that's dropping down to 25 billion organisms. I found the 50 billion a tad too much. When my bottle empties, I will replace with 25 billion organism capsules, which I will empty and take in same manner as the 'powder.'
