It's working great--now. My only complaint is that there is not more information supplied on how to fuel it up! I had to go to youtube and watch several videos before I could figure it out. Call me a dummy, but I can't believe I'm the only one who's never added butane to a torch or lighter of any kind. I was inches away from returning the dang thing before I figured it out. Once I figured it out (thanks to youtube), easy-peasy. Just seems like they could provide a little more info on how to inject the fuel. p.s. Our Creme Brûlée is amazing!

It has been a full year and this torch has given me absolutely ZERO problems up untill today. For some reason the torch wouldn't stay lit I refilled the torch relieved the pressure before hand and nothing it wouldn't stay lit. Turns what you have to do is unscrew the sides of the metal casing tube where the flame comes out simply by removing the two screws at the bottom of the shaft and pulling it off its a tad tricky you wanna remove it slowly and with caution for there is a tube inside for the butane gas once this has been done at the end of the shaft where the flame is projected screw the cermaic piece at the very end snuggly. It managed to losen itself somehow and gas was leaking out from there. Other than that its an indestructible torch. Great buy

At first i was skeptical of ordering a butane torch without first seeing it reviewed, but I was actually impressed with the ease of use with this device. The torch is very powerful so practice caution when using it. You can easily adjust the length and intensity of the flame with the back knob. There is also a built in safety for the ignition trigger. The only flaw I saw was the gauge to measure your fluid level. This is a little misleading but shouldn't bother the average user. You WILL NOT receive any butane fluid with this product. I found temporary fluid at Home Depot, and my ordering fluid took about 7-10 days to arrive so prepare yourself.Overall I think this was a great purchase and would recommend this product to individuals that need a torch.Happy Shopping!

Works great! I wish the butane shut off was made differently. The instructions aren't real clear that the turn knob is the shut off. A little confusing since it has a "shut off" switch. To begin with when I was filling it with butane, the knob (or flame height adjuster) was turned on and the butane was going right through it even though switch said off. Once I figured that part out, it filled fine. I use the torch for crafts but it makes me want to make some creme brulee'.

I went with other reviewers on this one because this is my first kitchen torch. I must say, I'm very happy with my purchase. Great quality product, doesn't feel "cheap." The stand is useful for when you're done lighting your food on fire and you need to let it cool. The torch fits into it "snuggly" to ensure it doesn't tip over when in place. If you decide to not take it out of the stand while in use, it doesn't get in the way of the task at hand. The adjustable flame knob on the back allows you to pick the intensity. The click button start does not need to be held in during use.

I'm really pleased with this torch. I use it for soldering jewelry and it works well and is easy to use. My only issue is that after a year and two months the front (ignition) button doesn't work any more. According to the description, there is a lifetime guarantee if something should happen which is all well and good but no where in the packaging does it say who to contact or return it to.

I do not use this torch for cooking, but rather I use it for sterilizing my needle shears used for cutting and trimming my orchids. I can hold the torch and the shears at the same time, as the torch is nicely made to hold in the hand without any problems, allowing both the torch and the shears to be used simultaneously.

Good strong flame. But the base doesn’t secure the torch. Maybe once or twice. Then I had to add Velcro to it but I had to keep replace because the butane eats through the glue on the Velcro. And the igniter stopped working after about a month. I do use this everyday but that shouldn’t happen. I still use it just with a flint to get it going. If the base and igniter worked absolutely 5 stars.
