IN LOVE, I just wish there were more instructions
I bought this board for my boyfriend's birthday present and he is absolutely in love! It has been about a week now, and his entire house is hooked. All it takes is a little water and you're good to go. There is virtually no set up. The board nestles into the stand in it's notches and it is good to go. You paint with water and the board darkens with your stroke. It disappears in a few minutes and you're left with a clean slate. My one warning is make sure the water doesn't sit on the edge of the board for very long. Apparently the edges are not treated the same way as the rest of the board, so it make leave a water mark. I wish there would have been more instructions or designs in the box, but I understand the board is meant to harness your creativity. I love the concept of the board. There is no permanency so you can't be obsessed with perfection or focus on mistakes. It really is a great design and fun for all ages. Definitely a great buy and I would highly recommend to anyone. I can't say enough about it! Please ask me any questions, I'd be happy to answer! If my review was helpful, let me know! Press YES below. Thanks for reading :)

Buy as a gift and buy one for yourself
I had seen this board at a local library. At first I thought it was too gimmicky. After sitting for a moment and getting into the Zen of it I was hooked. The brush is wet, you draw your design which slowly disappears as it dries. It was mesmerizing and before I knew it 20-minutes had passed. I bought one for our home and it sits on the kitchen counter. No one - and I mean no none - who comes into the kitchen can resist drawing. Very relaxing. Focusing. I've since bought smaller ones for our grandkids. Such a lovely alternative to those dang screens they're always on.

meditative and fleeting
This is an enjoyable, meditative process. The picture does fade, and quickly. I expected the fading but I guess I thought (due to the photo of the product) that it would last long enough to complete one full drawing, but it is already fading before I can finish 2 lines. I do love it and use it often, but the immediate fading is a little unfortunate. Gotta love the technology tho!

Nice
I had one of these before called a Buddha board and bought this one as a birthday gift. I looked at the Buddha boards but they weren’t going to be shipped in time, so I went with this one. It seems great! It looked like it had a little more trouble sitting in the slots the way it was intended, but that’s based on the gift recipient. I didn’t actually get a chance to look at it too closely. It seemed very similar to the Buddha board I used to have and love, however.

Great gift!
I gave this to my mother in law as she moved and was unable to take all of her paints and easel. She loved the ease and versatility of being able to paint over and over. The brush created eloquent strokes with varying width. (My 4 yo loved it too when she got a turn)

Good for a short time
I bought this Zen board after seeing them in my daughter's kindergarten classroom. They were part of the "Cozy Corner" activities. I bought 2 one for my then 3 y.o and 5 y.o. They probably used the board a total of 5 times each since I purchased it 8 months ago. I closely monitored their use and taught them how to use the board (not over saturating it and using gentle strokes and not rubbing or scratching it. For some reason, one of the board has developed a "bubble" in the center. It seems as though the paper is coming away from the plastic backing. perhaps due to excess moisture? I have always allowed them to fully air dry before putting them away in their boxes. Not sure why this happened. Pretty disappointed as this is a really cool activity.
