Smoke Daddy Big Kahuna Cold Smoke Generator with Ceramic Grill Adapter

Perfect fit for Kamodo Joe. This is a must if you are into cold smoking! Set up was super easy.

Gets extremely hot. About 5 min into the smoking I heard a pop sound and realized the top knob busted off and it burnt my fingers when I picked it up. In pic,the black knob is gone leaving only a bolt head. I had to use pliers to lift the top. I used hickory chips from store and the entire canister burned up in about 10 min and had to refill it multiple times just for a 30 min smoke. What a waste. I mean I expect it to be hot of course but not so much as to bust the knob and burn through the wood so quick. I was lead to believe otherwise so just beware. Not very usable to me.

Good quality and easy to use product. Burning time was less than expected. Cold smoked salmon had an excellent taste. I loved it!It required attention every 30 to 45 minutes. I just need a bigger unit.

I did extensive research prior to acquiring this product and was hopeful it would live up to the high expectation. While the owner (inventor) is very passionate about this product (you tube videos), it is a product that would have been more successful if a little more time was spent with design. While attaching the Smoker to my Big Green Egg it became very apparent that the design for the attachment is flawed and it was rushed to market to offer it as an option for the BGE community. You can see attached the product lacks stability since is not designed properly to conform to the BGE. Unfortunately I will be returning the product and would reconsider acquiring the product in the future if the attachment is redesigned. Also when it is attached it will not hang perpendicular to the BGE due to the design issue (See attached photo).

Very easy to install on my green egg, and easier to use than I imagined. Great smoked cheddar on my first try.
