Love the prints and learned a lot just reading the associated text. The book is so nice-looking you'll want to display it.

A beautiful work of art and culture.

I ordered this book mainly looking for miniature paintings. It has a section on them. But not a lot. They have tried to have an example of every period in the book. It’s good. But not great. As an Iranian I find the selections kind of boring. Contemplating returning it.It’s a nice print but the selections are not very inspiring.

I don't understand why the publisher decided to print the introductory pages to each section on gray paper. The type barely stands out, and I can't read it. I tried more than once and started to get a headache, so I just quit. Why this self-sabotage to make things tough for a reader (who paid a lot of good money for the book)? I'd like to know what these little essays have to say to inform me better about the following photos. This is very frustrating, and not the frame of mind one needs to admire the Iranian artworks. Lousy design, in two words.
