Wide variety
I had bought my grandson a microscope but it didn't come with any sample slides. He was so excited when he started seeing these things up close!

Small, plastic, and a little frustrating to use.
Small, plastic and a little frustrating. I am using these with my nephew and his small kids scope. Pretty poor quality. They are plastic slides mounted with tape onto the substraight. The animal and insect samples are thick. The plant samples are slightly better. Whether these are good gor you will depend on the circumstances. I have two other sets of pre mounted kids slides. One is glass and he isnt ready for them. Another plastic that is far better. They are still not lab quality but you can see details and talk about them. All in all i would not buy these again. The difficulty finding the sample together w the poor quality made the time spent a little frustrating.

These slides are a quality option for beginning explorers. My daughter had plenty of options and cool things to explore with her microscope.

Smaller than normal slides.
The slides are smaller than normal slides. This makes it difficult to position under the lens. Also you won't be able to store and organize then in slide organizers because they can't span the width of the box.
