Skip buying a bunch of cheaper pairs (like me) and go straight for these super sharp scissors
I am an amateur beautician and only for the purpose of cutting the hair of my kids, husband and me. Over the years, I've been through a dozen pairs of hair cutting scissors, during which I have repeatedly made the mistake of buying inexpensive brands (like Goody-about $6 per pair or Conair- $13ish per pair) and the same thing seems to happen: after a few uses, the blades gain some space between them and they stop cutting properly, at which point I buy another pair. After forking out a significant amount of dough for these, I know I won't have to do that again. The best thing about these scissors: they are extremely sharp! I nicked my left hand while cutting my husband's hair and it bled like crazy, but it was a clean cut. The narrow finger holes take a little getting used to, but once you get the hang of it, it's a very comfortable, efficient way to cut hair. Looking back, I wish I'd have gone straight for these expensive, high-quality shears. You get what you pay for.

When looking for a good pair of hair cutting scissors
When looking for a good pair of hair cutting scissors, I browsed the various options. Ultimately, I decide to purchased "Got Glamour Cobalt Molybdenum" scissors because they are made in the USA, and I like to support businesses in this Country. I paid a little more over imported scissors, which is usually the case with any product. I am exceedingly happy I did and so is my husband. The scissors have many desirable features that allow for more precision cutting: tension screw for blade adjustment, rubber grommet for better grip around thumb/finger "holders," a rubber stopper between grip holders, design engineering that allows for closer cut of sharp blades without risk of injury, and a quality holding case for storage. My husband and I highly recommend this product!!!

Buttery smooth with nice long blade
Exquisitely crafted, super sharp blades that cut smoothly and precisely, with comfortably large thumb-hole and removable rubber insert in the other hole. I've been cutting my own hair for 25 years with the Diamond Ice 5.5" by Soligen (German), which has also been excellent (including its one micro-serrated blade) until finally dropped it and bent the blade. The Got Glamour Cobalt Moly's extra half-inch of blade length is welcome, and cuts just as well with no serration and a buttery smooth mechanism.

These worked well for what I used them for. ...
These worked well for what I used them for. I am a stylist. I don't do a lot of cutting but wanted something decent. I had purchased a pair from Sally's for about the same price and was very unhappy. I would choose this pair for quality and price value.

Perfect for cutting my curls!
Edit as of 2022: I've been using these for almost 2 years now, and I still love them. They're still sharp, and they still don't pull or snag on my hair... except once, and only once, when I'd been using them for a year and needed to tighten the tension screw. This was a long term use issue, though, and not a product quality issue at all. And it turns out? They're great for cutting my hair wet, too. To save time I abandoned the dry-cutting method of cutting curly hair and embraced the wet cut. Just part wet hair, put it into the straightest pigtails I can manage, and snip off the ends. I haven't been to a salon in 2 years, and as long as I have scissors like these, I don't feel the need to. I even gave myself a haircut that was so nice, people thought I'd paid $100 dollars. I must have gotten about 20-30 comments in one day. Them: "Where did you get your hair done??? It looks amazing!" Me: "Bathroom." Them: "Wait... what??" Thanks for a great product that makes my hair happy, saves me tons of money, and saves me from hours of dreaded small talk at the salon. <3 Review from 2020: I ordered these shears after wanting to cut my own hair for years, and I can only say good things about them. The photo guide to holding the shears was quite helpful, and they fit perfectly in my smaller-than-average hands (seriously, I have some tiny baby hands) with no discomfort at all. They were sharp, they didn't pull or snag my hair when I cut, they made a perfectly clean cut on each curl I trimmed -- I followed the Curly Girl method of trimming hair, which means one curl at a time -- and left my hair looking healthier, bouncier, and happier. I started out trimming a small amount off the ends, then trimmed again after waiting a few weeks, and during both trims I encountered no problems. I'll update as I continue to use these shears, as my hair is very long and will need frequent trims. For now I'll wrap this up by saying, thanks for a great product that fits my personal needs as an amateur hair cutter, a curly-haired gal, and someone who prefers to cut her own hair dry. I can see myself using these instead of going to the salon for many, many months to come.

so I think I can give a pretty accurate review
As a hairstylist, and teacher I own many scissors, cheapest one $600, so I think I can give a pretty accurate review. This scissor is as good as my expensive one even better!, honestly I bought it to trim my dogs hair with it, but after receiving it it has gone with my other scissors,in my special bag, It is a great product, the size, the handling the weight, they have thought and made a great product, for professional and people that want to give their bangs some refreshing or cut their husband hair. Please respect this product and don't cut paper or other things with them, use it only for hair, this way stays nice and sharp. I will definitely buy other scissors from this company. I wish great success for them.

Not Super Sharp
Well, I was really hoping for super sharp cutting shears, but these are not super sharp nor do they feel good in my hand. I guess I should have opted for different more expensive ones. You get what you pay for. They’re okay. Like if you just wanna trim your bangs, they’ll do; but I wouldn’t try to cut more than just my bangs.

Excellent for beard trimming.
These great little scissors replace a lost pair I had for years. They are quality, short and manageable to handle trimming trimming mustache and stray facial hair. Most have long blades not good for this task. Great quality. Came with a very nice pouch.

When I received my scissors and examed them, I was pleased to see the perfection of the finished product. It is lightweight, the cutting edge is geometrically well set, a fine straight edge. The thumb and ring finger one put in place and the rest of the fingers set in place I felt the balance and the knowing I had the control of the shears being comfortable Professional or not feel the comfort and control you will have in doing the job at hand.
