Doom Patrol: Complete Second Season (DVD)

i never saw this when it was aired, but i was curious and got the dvd set. i loved the first season and this is the reason i immediately bought the second one. something about it didn't click with me, in fact, i have not been able to finish the season. the episodes and plot do not seem as interesting as the first season. it is ok but not a must.

If you like wild, crazy, surreal and fun genius creativity, this is for you. My son sent me the first Season and I have been waiting eagerly for the Second. Just watched the first two episodes and love it! The ambience, the characters, the scenery, the dialogue, the feelings, the odd plot, some of which relates back to season 1, and the overall uninhibited zaniness are my idea of high play.The same characters: the racing car driver, now a brain in a robot, the plane crash mummy- wrapped pilot, the 64 person multiple personality, the plastic woman, the cyber teen, Niles Caulder, the scientist who modified them all into what they are, and a new addition, his 90 year old perpetually 11 year old daughter, Dorothy, who looks like an ape, thanks to her beast mother from the first season. She has fearsome imaginary friends who emerge to protect her when she feels threatened. The acting is superb, each character clearly defined, both in themselves and in their relation to each other.I don't do drugs but this is my idea of the ideal psychedelic trip... there was even a living town named Danny in the first episode, which has a brief cameo in Episode 1 here, as well as a Doctor Thyme, who controls time and creates his own universe according to mood and whim. There's a great disco roller skating scene to the music of Bad Girls; a real show stopper. And so on....Hard to describe the upbeat energy of this series. It's called Doom Patrol, btw, because the characters mission is to save the world.Nuff said....

I like the original miniseries from NBC aired in 1980 and the new series (2024) from FX . If the new SHOGUN series renewed a second season yet I need to know how plan of the new SHOGUN series’ second season in the future OR not ?

I liked the series. These misfit super heroes tell a bizarre storyTo be fair April was the reason I bought it. To my taste she is a very beautiful woman. I realized she was a trained dancer back when she was in 2 1/2 men.I hope there will be another season.
