It’s a great tom pack , great heads with a nice tone when tuned correctly.

These heads have a nice, low end sound. I used pinstripes for while as my batter heads, and I didn't love the sound. They were really all about attack, and not tone. You had to tighten the head a lot to get tone out of the head. These heads have a good balance between attack and tone. I use ambassadors as resonant heads, because the combination works really well. I now have toms that have a low end with good attack. I love these heads.

Reno quality has fallen off a cliff. 12” clear emperor was dead - wouldn’t seat right on tom and wouldn’t get it in tune without awful overtones. Probably third or fourth Remo head I’ve had quality issues with in past year or two. I’m switching brands after a lifetime of playing Remo. Unfortunately I bought these months ago so and didn’t get around to putting them on until now so I’m not even trying to fight for a refund.
