GM Genuine Parts 15-33814 (15921502) Black Heater Inlet and Outlet Hose Connector

Vehicle: 2011 GMC Canyon SLE I5 Genuine OEM replacement. STAY AWAY from the Dorman or equivalent parts as they rely on flimsy plastic tabs to snap on to the heater core. They are also difficult to remove because you need to get a removal tool behind it. In my case, there was not enough clearance for a tool and I had to cut it off with a Dremel. This replacement part uses a retaining clip to "snap on" to the heater core. The clip is easy to remove and has a much better fit than the plastic tabs. The seal also seems of higher quality. I very much recommend buying this replacement part.

So why GM designed this brittle plastic thing like this, who knows. I guess, to create a sacrificial weak point to fail instead of the heater core. As a quick replacement for a part that almost no one carries in stock, good option. It is easy to fix yourself if the hose is in good shape.

Fit my 2010 Chevy Colorado V8 perfectly. I used a cheap HF pick tool to remove the spring clip and the old connector pulled right off. Don't buy a removal tool because it will not fit between the connector and the fire wall. A pick tool worked great.
