Definitely worth it/Power Limits for certain USB 3.0 and USB C Devices
There were no reviews when I first looked at this product so I was very skeptical about purchasing but for the first price of $18 along with an additional 10% off I had grab it for all it's offering. It raised in price after the first batch sold which is the norm with supply and demand so I'm happy I was an early adapter. Definitely a lot better than the Internal USB 3.0 HUB that I finally had to throw out after 6 years. This one is a lot sleeker, has a minimalistic aesthetic to it along with providing you with addition USB room. However, certain USB devices will not get enough power to run properly using this hub. For example, my Xbox Wireless Adapter will get power for ten minutes before automatically turning off, I just switched a random jump drive in my PC for it. External Drives work pretty well and don't give me that problem so it may be a software conflict between the hub and my wireless adapter. But overall a nice alternative to a MOBO with a few USB Ports or for people like me that like to have more than needed. Also for those wanting to use this hub for USB C displays, this will not work at all as it doesn't provide enough power just giving a heads-up. The additional USB C port are a godsend since cases with USB C ports are more expensive and some motherboards like mine only have 1 USB C Ports that I used for an external drive before getting this hub. Definitely a cheap and effective way to add USB C ports to your PC without the premium price point and the speeds are equal to what you'll get on your motherboard. Also, it doesn't require a SATA Cable to get up and running which is what a lot of USB Hubs need to get powered on.

Seamless USB Expansion for Desktop Setups!
This PCI-E expansion card has been a fantastic addition to my desktop. Installation was straightforward, and it was recognized immediately by my system without the need for additional drivers. The combination of 2 USB-C and 5 USB-A ports offers versatile connectivity options, accommodating a range of devices from external drives to peripherals. Data transfer speeds are consistent and fast, matching the performance of my motherboard's native USB 3.0 ports. Overall, it's a reliable and efficient solution for expanding USB capabilities.

Excellent customer service
Installed into an empty PCI-E slot on a Lenovo IdeaCentre. The card was recognized by the OS (W11 Home). Installed the drivers. Seems like a great idea, in principle. The USB ports carry only power, no data. I checked the seating multiple times - seems that the card cannot be properly seated and installed as the card does not line up properly. I reseated it to check again. Drivers recognized and ONE USB 3.2 port carries data. everything else simply carries power. Not sure if the card is simply defective, but to me seems like a waste of money. ********************* July 25, 2023 update: After having an issue with the first board, customer service reached out to offer a replacement. All issues listed above have been corrected, and the replacement is working flawlessly. Surprisingly fast and responsive customer service definitely warrants and updated review.

Ports may be a problem
The orientation of the USB ports, perpendicular to the mounting bracket, may mean that the opening in the case, AT the bracket, is too narrow. I had to widen the opening on my own case, in order to allow the cables to be plugged into the ports on the card. Otherwise, the card was easy to install, and I've had no problems... EXCEPT that on my Win7 system, it keeps telling me that I ought to plug the USB3 devices into a USB3 card... so I might not be getting actual USB3 connectivity with this card... but I purchased THIS card, due to the same "error" message with a different card, so the problem may be a limitation or other problem with Win7, or my mother board. Install the card first, then the drivers, because the installation requires the card to be present in order to install.

Weak signal when using long cables
I have a desktop server that I wanted to add some USB ports to my server rack on my keystone panel. I needed about 3-5 USB ports for this on the back end of the server. This product seemed to fit the description. Setup was simple, the server runs Linux and it recognized it just fine. I purchased some 6ft USB A to USB A cables from Cable Matters (pretty reputable manufacturer). All 5 cables plugged in. These went from the PCI-E card to the keystone panel and that panel had a double sided female USB A coupler. Nothing fancy, just whatever I bought on Amazon. I tested out with my SanDisk Extreme Pro SSD thumb drive. It gets power, the light came on but the server didn't recognize it as being connected. I checked logs to verify all this. - I started troubleshooting. I first checked the USB Drive. I plugged it directly into the PCI-E card, and it works. - I then checked to see if maybe it was the coupler, or the cable. I started testing with different USB A cables. I tried a different 2 meter cable (didn't work), a 1 meter cable (didn't work) and the finally when I tried an 8 inch cable it worked. So I thought maybe its the cable. - I plugged the original Cable Matters USB A cable into the front of the server with the coupler and it worked. I have come to the conclusion that the card will only work with shorter cables. Longer cables still provide power but it doesn't seem that data is able to be transferred. Pretty disappointed

A great little upgrade for the PC - needed this to help add a bunch of Elgato devices, and it worked flawlessly. Easy to install, no driver updates needed to my knowledge. Cheap and cheerful, super happy with it.
