Our 15-month-old doesn't want to put this thing down!
We bought this for our 15 month old son because he likes to get our kitchen broom and carry it around the house. To no surprise, he loves this broom set just as much as the real thing, and has been carrying the broom around non-stop. The handle on this broom is, of course, kid-sized, making it easier for the little ones to tote it around without bumping the stick into things in the house. Our 15 month-old has no issues carrying it. The small broom and scoop are just as cool as the broom, but honestly, our son just sticks to the big broom mostly. Pros: - Lightweight, short handle broom for the small kids - The brooms are actually made quite well, and could really be used to clean up if needed - Handle has a hole to hang it out of the way (with the real brooms) when done playing Cons: - Honestly, I can't think of anything... Overall, this is a great set for little kids, especially if they already show interest in the real brooms in the house. It's amazing how the simple things can entertain kids so well.

Well made and potentially useful
Well made and a child can actually sweep the floor with this. Perfect size for my 1.5 year old and 3 year old. It’s made of nice durable plastic—the dust pan won’t break if stepped on. The handle is made of aluminum I think and in pretty light weight. If a child were to bang it on something metal with a lot of force it could dent or bend, but so far has been fine even though the 1.5 year old likes to bang it around on the floor, etc. the only thing I was concerned about is that if you run your hand through the bristles, fuzz does come off the ends. So far, it hasn’t been noticeable with normal kid use, though, and they play with it every day. Also, the bristles seem well made and don’t come out easily.

Give yourself the gift of child labor
My toddler wanted to mimic her parents sweeping the floor. Her impression of Cinderella had become dangerous with how she wielded the typical size broom and led to a few broken glasses. We want to encourage child labor (*read* chores) but not at the expense of Toddler Tornado taking out all of our glassware. Enter this broom set! She's able to better manage the smaller sized broom without whacking it into other items. She hasn't shown much interest in the dustpan set but I have used it to clean up under the table a few times and it's perfunctory. My only beef with the broom is that while it is sturdy for a child, take care not to step on the handle like someone who was totally not me did. The broom handle is metal but a large adult will bend the frame. The good news is that even with this minor aesthetic damage, the broom still continue to work well

Kid-sized Real Broom and Dustpan Set
This is a real deal broom set. My 2 year old loves the regular broom and dustpan! He wants to carry it through the house and sweep up everything! Cute, but yuck! Plus my broom and pan are way too big for him. So, I did what I do best and looked on Amazon. For $10 bucks, I got a three piece set that is sized for a toddler and has never been used to clean up actual messes. The broom handle screws into the head of broom and the hand broom clips into the dust pan when not in use. The bristles are not as good as a real broom, but darn near close. My son is 36" tall (I'm 5'10". We're a tall family) and I can tell he will not outgrow it for quite a while. Now, he "cleans up" whenever he wants to or he "helps" mama with his broom when I'm sweeping the floor. I don't have to fight him for the actual broom and it's less germy. I also like how it looks like a grown broom and dustpan. Others are too cartoony and fake. My son knows the difference and would not have been receptive to others. It's just like when he was a baby I gave him play phone so he'd stop with my phone. That lasted all of 5 seconds and he immediately went after the real phone. He just knows. So if your son is like mine, you will not be disappointed. This set is essentially just a kid sized broom and dust pan.

A little helper for MY little helper :)
My 17-month old son loves to help sweep, mop, and vacuum. It's adorable-- until he throws a fit that I'M doing it and he can't. While most days it's easy to hand it over to him for a few, there are of course the times that I just want to get it done. Soooo, my husband and I figured that we needed to get a set of his own. We chose this and the Dirt Devil Junior Reaction Vacuum to be our son's first cleaning tools. The Dirt Devil is set to be delivered today, but the broom set came yesterday, so of course I had to let Charlie try it out immediately! Out of the box, he was completely excited and wanted to "sweep" the carpet. We went ahead and swept the kitchen floor together, and actually, it was really nice. It's made very well considering it's just a toy- the bristles are thick and well angled, like the real thing, and it did sweep up a considerable about of dirt and pet hair. It's a little tall yet for my son, but I think technically he's a little young for the age rec on this toy??? Either way, it's tons better than him trying to maneuver Mommy's full-sized broom. So the broom is great. We didn't really test out the handbroom and the dustpan, but my husband noticed that the pan was a little scratched up--- shipping's fault, I'm assuming, not the toy's. The nice part isn't that it's well made, though, you know? It's great because my son is learning life skills and is getting to participate in what we do around the house- it makes him feel included and valuable, and we actually had a lot of fun doing this together. NOW- if I can only keep him this enthusiastic about sweeping until he's a grown man....... ;)

these are great items at a great price, Have 3 little grandaughters so these toys stay at Nana's house for when them come over. I leave them in the corner and they take them out and "help" nana whenever they want. The smiles of accomplishment. So adorable. The tiny ones (not 2 yet) love the smallest broom and the dust pan. all look sturdy and well made.

Children like to have something at their size. We use it in our Montessori environment.

Came very quickly! I think it will be great for my 18 month old nephew for helping on the farm. He can be just like his Opa! Giving as a Christmas gift.
