I bought this when my baby was 9 months old and we are still using it at 13 months. She loves playing with the sticks and all the components. The drums are plastic and not very loud. The xylophone pieces are well constructed and have good tone, although if you’re a music lover, “keys” 1-7 are excellent except the top octave which is far from exact. The bell has the same tone as the top octave. I love this xylophone. So happy we got it. (Jingle bells and deck the halls were fun to play for the family at xmas time lol)

My two -2 year old sweeties love music. I wanted Mari and Mason to have a musical gift from me that is bright and fun for making "good" sounding noise. How wonderful were these for Christmas. I'm told they and their parents have regular music jam sessions.

Packaging looks good. Bought as a Christmas gift so I won't be able to comment on function until after the holiday. 4 star rating unopened because right off the bat I notice that the way it's displayed in the picture to be used would make the xylophone numbers upside down unless it isn't fully assembled yet. It's a little bit smaller than I expected but I'm sure my 18 month old won't mind as long as it works properly.1 Month Update: The numbers are in fact, right side up (the drums needed attached to the base, very easily done). My son loves it and plays with it daily. My only complaints are that the plastic mallets(?) are made of weak material and are constantly bowed from being bent. I'm afraid that they may actually break eventually. Also, the music cards included are kept hidden due to my son being too young to use them but I found them very confusing even as an adult (and I'm not stupid lol).Overall, great for the price and glad that I bought it.

Bought this for my nephew (two year old) and he loved it... therefore, I love it. We've spent hours playing with this together. Music is one of the best things you can do for the children in your life. One odd thing about it, and you'll have to buy it to find out... what in the world is the little purple one? Whatever it is, it's fun, compact, and versatile with the drums and bell.

I got this for my one year old niece for Christmas and it was a winner. She kept going back to play with this toy. One year old might be a little young for this but she has a blast making noise with it and trying to put the mallets away in the right spot. I think it's a toy she will be able to use/enjoy for a few years.

My 19 month old grandson absolutely loves this toy. After a brief demonstration, he quickly picked up exactly how this instrument should be played and it keeps him occupied for surprisingly long periods of time. My only complaint is that the toy is not better constructed; both bongos, as well as the bell, are constantly coming free of the body of the instrument and therefore must be reattached. By me. Over and over, because my grandson is apparently OCD. 3 1/2 ☆ because of the construction issue, but I'd still recommend because the instrument is still playable and able to be enjoyed without the bongos and bell attached.

Really cute and entertaining to my 9 month old twins. The only thing is since their sensory of the mouth is so active I have to monitor them as they try to put the sticks in their mouths. But they love it and can grow with this toy. Came really fast. I would recommend this toy to others. Thanks
