I am a redhead who is now 20% grayI have used henna before and it turned the gray bright orange. I chose this brand hoping a medium brown would cover the gray and not be orange. I followed the directions mixing the henna with coffee, olive oil and apple cider vinegar. I’m very happy with the results. I only did my roots and it blends so nicely with my hair. It is NOT orange in the least!!I have used Madison reed and the gray coverage only lasts about two weeks, fading visibly with every wash. Henna lasts for months except for outgrowth touch ups … it’s natural, lasts way longer and is much cheaper. You just need to find your shadeThis brand is far superior than others with ease of mixing and processing time. This brand gives you more options for colors and improves the end results.I highly recommend!!

Rainbow Research henna is the best henna I’ve used. I wanted to basically keep my natural color and “mask” the gray without my non gray hair getting too dark. I have achieved my goal! My natural hair color is very dark brown. I mix 6 tbsp of medium brown, 2 tbsp of mahogany, 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar, and coffee until I get a mixture that is loose enough to distribute easily but thick enough that it doesn’t drip off. Put on a shower cap and leave on for 2-4 hours. It’s a process, but leaves my hair feeling and looking much healthier.

I use this product bought from different place and is very good and is just the color I like, I just changed my mind about using it at this time.

I’ve been using this one henna product for about four years. It’s absolutely amazing and not harmful in my hair. I don’t use any permanent dyes and have a lot of gray; it covers it up great and does not wash out so it last as it grows out. My only concern is that this is not actually 100% pure henna and there’s some other chemical additive in it to make it last, so 4 stars for that concern.
