Mori-Nu: Firm Tofu Silken 10.8 oz, 12 boxes

I was pleasantly surprised that the taste of this tofu and the texture. I’ve used it in soups and stews. It’s a good value for money and I appreciate having the convenience of a prepackaged tofu of this nature. I can’t comment on the shelf life because I’m using it too fast.

Happy with my purchase. The shelf- life date is one year from my September purchase. Good to go! I love the texture - it doesn’t break into pieces when trying to take the tofu out of the little box. There are no small pieces left in the box. Had many orders of the extra firm tofu of the same brand. I didn’t check the shelf-life dates and they were EXPIRED by two months. I could have gotten sick since I did eat some. Now I check the date before opening. This one is perfect! No smashed boxes either.

I use this to make French toast and a nice chocolate pudding - both give me protein and this is so smooth.

Bought both firm and extra-firm in Feb 2026– hoped to love, tried tofu for first time. Both seemed exactly same - firm and slippery, choppable with a baby spoon, and mostly smooth, but not spongy, was basically what we imagined firm tofu would be like. We were disappointed that it wasnt as soft as some people described, would have helped with chewing-swallowing problems in this family. Flavor was what we expected too, just mild soybean that took up the flavors around it. Expires at least a year out. Took off one star bc we keep finding pieces of green plants and leaves, prob nutritious, but dont belong, and are a problem for our chewing-swallowing problems. Thank you for healthy food.

NOT THE FRESHEST! I like the taste and texture of this tofu. It's aseptic packaging is great: a one year shelf life. The case I received in mid- May had a use-by date of July 22, 2021 (it was made July 2020). According to the MoriNu site the product should not be used after the use-by date. I complained to Amazon and they sent another case to replace it: it had the same use-by date! What's going on? Did they stop making fresh tofu after July 22,2020? As I don't eat a box of tofu a week, I'll be donating a case to our food bank so that it will be used by the July date.

I bought this tofu to have it on hand during the pandemic, and it's been great. I never understood what "silken" meant with regard to tofu until I tried this-- it is incredibly silky! In addition to using it in stir fries, it has added extra protein to my smoothies which are SO smooth and delicious with this addition. In a blender I put: half a banana, half a cup of frozen fruit (more if you have no bananas), half a cup of flavored yogurt (add a tsp. of honey if yogurt is plain), and 1/4 package of silken tofu with one cup of milk (I use 2%), and blend. Fabulous!! Only 320 calories and a wonderful 19 grams of protein.

Although we prefer firm tofu for entrees, Moro nu is perfect for tofu scrambler, tofu salads … and we mix it with “Just Egg” to give texture to our VEGAN scrambled “eggs”. We always have it on hand! Nice shelf stable addition for camping; emergency food kit too.

Leider ist der Tofu nicht hart wie angegeben, sondern weich. Ich gebe aber trotzdem 5 Sterne, weil er mir gut geschmeckt hat. Ich habe ihn übrigens für Smoothie verwendet, da war die Konsistenz optimal. Der Preis ist akzeptabel. Allerdings sollte man aufpassen, wo man kauft. Der 1. angegebene Preis ist nicht immer der günstigstse. Also ruhig die weiteren Anbieter unter "neu ab ..." anklicken.
