I was looking for a leather paint to match the original vachetta leather on a Louis Vuitton purse. I wanted to restore a vintage LV bag to make it look new again. The vachetta leather on LV's tend to turn from a beautiful light patina to a reddish patina over time and I wanted it to look new again. The paint color I purchased "Vachetta" is the perfect color, turning an old LV into what looks now close to brand-new leather. If you are looking to paint your leather on your vintage LV, this is the paint used by many cobblers! It truly works.

I purchased the Angelus Vachetta paint to bring back to life a vintage Louis Vuitton bag passed down from a relative. The bag was over 20 years old so it was in bad shape. After viewing a YouTube video of someone using this product I thought I’d give it a try. I have zero regrets. The paint is not an exact match but suitable for an old piece. The Louis Vuitton store was going to charge me $1,000 to replace the leather. The cost of materials made it worth me doing it myself. I recommend applying the paint in thin layers for best result.
