MDF Instruments USA 767 Adult's Sprague Rappaport Stethoscope

The product came with a slightly different tubing, not quite as shown in the picture. I remain unclear about the "Lifetime Warranty" and "Free Parts for Life Program".... effective selling phrases but there really isn't any clear mechanism in the package by which a customer can get parts in the future if needed. The quality of sound is better than the Littman at a fraction of the cost. In the end, my loyalty lies with the brand that delivers the most years of life for the cost of the instrument. The Littman company has started using cheap binaural spring that breaks after 1-2 years..... what a silly idea to include cheap chinese import. With this innovation they have lost me as a customer forever. Any company, that will manufacture longer lasting instruments deserves support..... Time will tell how long MDF Lasts.

Tubing is a little stiff hopefully as it is still new this will resolve , good breath, abdominal and heart sounds .I like having the choice of ear buds makes for much better fit for everyone

Acquistato per monitorare la pressione arteriosa e si è rivelato ottimo, forse anche troppo per un uso casalingo. Mi riferisco al fatto che misurandomi da solo la pressione, la campana devo per forza inserirla sotto il cuscinetto dello sfigmomanometro, anche se la prassi medica lo sconsiglia. Purtroppo essendo doppia diventa difficile sistemarla bene. Comunque sia lo strumento è sensibile con un'ottima acustica, quindi professionale e soprattutto vale i soldi spesi. Spedizione problematica con un ritardo nella consegna di ben 3 giorni.

Works well, ugly MDF logo on the membrane makes me nervous.

The past two stethoscopes that I have used have been Littmann. Between those two stethoscopes, the tubing was not as flexible in comparison to the MDF I received today, and I recently lost the diaphragm cover to my classic III which cost $20 to replace if you want Littmann pieces. Unfortunately, to replace the hardened tubing on both of my Littmann stethoscopes would essentially be the same if I were to purchase two new stethoscopes. I was surprised when I learned that MDF was the next best quality stethoscope out there and on top of that, underrated and underused in my opinion. My stethoscope arrived today and I marveled in the flexibility of the tubing and the adjustable head piece to properly fit my round head when using it. The diaphragm is turntable so it can be used as an adult or pediatric device. To my surprise, the stethoscope came spare parts (replacement diaphragm covers, two different sizes of ear pieces to accommodate ears, and the bell adjustments for different patients) and silicone covers that can be sanitized between patients without damaging the diaphragm cover. I definitely did not get any of this, aside from extra ear pieces, for my Littmann. I listened to my Bfs lung sounds and they were as clear as day. His heart sounds were clearer than with my classic III, and even with the hygienic cover, the sound is unchanged. I will probably purchase a second one because the price is spot on with the value of this wonderful product. I’d like one to have just for inpatient care as well as my NP rotations. At some point, I’ll have one for home use and another for work.
