Q: Are these already waxed and ready to use?

They are waxed. However, every wick from the batch I ordered was bad. They soot and sputter like crazy. I almost had a fire because it threw sparks about 5 feet away onto a roll of paper towels.

Q: What size container should I use with this size wick?

Best I remember the wicks burn about 3" in diameter. If your container is much bigger in diameter that that, you might want to use 2 or 3 wicks.

Q: Are the wicks dipped in soy wax, or some other wax?

These are coated in Paraffin wax. The only other thing these are made with is cotton (on the inner layer of the wicks). This was a great question! I hope this helps! :)

Q: Is this a good for tea lights or votive size? Thanks

You’ll be able to cut the wicks to the size you’d need for tea or votive candles but you may be able to find a shorter size in a larger quantity for a similar price rather than wasting so much of the 8 inch wick
