Stanbroil 10-Pound Fire Glass - 1/2 inch Reflective Tempered Fire Glass for Fireplace Fire Pit, Copper Reflective

I bought 20 lbs but 10 did the job in my fireplace. I'm very happy with the look and color. I bought the copper/Amber color. This really enhanced the flame and my fake logs. Here's a picture.

I already had blue glass in my fire table, but wanted to make it deeper. I purchased this product and poured it into my fire table "pit". The glass had so much contamination of little pieces and glass dust I had to scoop it all back out, put in through a colander in small spoonfulls to rinse it off, then dry it over night. There were so many shards of glass that rinsed out of this into the sink, I saved countless cuts and issues we would have had. Plus all that crap would have been eventually filtered down to the gas ports at the bottom of the pit, it would have caused issues with the table. So if you buy this, WASH IT BEFORE USING IT. Thanks for reading. Oh, it is really pretty as it's blue with mirror on one side which the fire reflects on nicely. But wash it.

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  We purchased the glass, (mixed 10 lbs of bronze with 10 lbs of copper), to replace the lava rock in our new fire column. The bronze color matches the picture and looks very nice mixed with the copper. You have to look closely to really be able to tell there are 2 colors in there. We have only had 1 fire since putting the glass in but I love the way it sparkles when the flame is dancing. You would almost swear it was melting, (it's not), when the flame reflects off of it. So far it is exactly what we wanted and I will update the review if there is any change.

This glass is made from 3/8" thick mirrored glass so one dimension can never be 1/2". A lot of the pieces are 1/4" or less in one of the other dimensions. I purposely did not want small glass particles since they can tend to plug the propane outlet holes. I hand sorted and about 1/3 of it was suitably sized for my purpose which was to add to the large rocks already being used. It does provide good "flash" from the mirrored sides, so this worked for me but if you are expecting something like 1/2" cubes you will be disappointed.

We tried lava rocks and then fire glass beads but were not satisfied. But this fire glass is absolutely outstanding. The irregular angles reflect the fire and make it "dance"! We have had so many positive comments from friends who have seen it. It took three tries for us, but this is the very best way to make your fire pit or bowl to show off its true beauty! AND, these cool off faster than the beads and lava rock when you're finished and want to cover your pit.

Love this glass it has really brightened up my outdoor fireplace! I was going to go with the standard blue that everyone always has but decided to go with the copper and I'm so glad I did!

It's important to note that when this product arrives, it is covered in glass dust in the bag and somewhat murky looking. I had to dump small amounts in a colander outside and wash with a hose to clean it, then let it dry in the sun. That restored it's sparkle somewhat. The glass side looked fine, the mirrored sides still looked scratched and dirty. The copper is brown - so if that's what you are looking for, get copper and not the bronze. The bronze is more of a dark brownish gray and not great looking. I bought both and returned the bronze. There are very large (like 3") pieces and tiny pieces in the bag - you'll have to pick through and sort them if you are looking for a specific size range. I think if I buy these again, I'd skip the mirrored finish and stick with plain glass. The scratched up blotchy mirror finish makes the quality look poor in daylight, it's ok in firelight. I was replacing the dollar store looking clear gems that came with my fire table.

I got these to replace the old lava rocks in my fire pit. I have attached a picture of the old and the new so that everyone can see the clear difference it makes when you replace them with the fire glass. It took one and a half bags to fill up my Pit. 1 Bag Just wasn't enough. They put off way more heat and the overall aesthetic is just so much more appealing than the lava rocks that came with my set. I have been wanting to make this upgrade for so long and now that I finally have I just wish I had done so sooner. I would highly recommend. Also I do agree with the other reviews, the one and a half inch size is the way to go.

I bought this for an alternative to the lava rocks that came with my fire table. I wanted more of a modern look but just after 2 uses with the glass they are getting a black discolouration which Is very frustrating. I have crushed glass in my gas fireplace and don’t have an issue with discolouration with the glass provided.Pay extra for better quality

I bought this specifically for using in resin crafts. It is easy to colour with alcohol inks. Goes a long way. Some pieces are bigger than others, but it works great in crafts.Have not used it for the purpose of in a fire pit etc. But for crafts, this is amazing.

Basically it’s a 3/8” crashed blue glass mirror , I washed with soup looks clean , lots of little pieces I have to sorted out manually by hands ( with cloves only!)Colour not as a picture showed it much darker blue , if I new it will not bye , better go with light colour or clear so u can see more light at night time inside glass from fire and it gives u more bitty if the colour glass it self , dark glass only good daytime or indoor , so seller cheated with real colour on pictures and of cause not half inch 3/8 mirror or smaller of cuts , only good free delivery and 2 days only , most likely all others sellers same but my advise order ocean blue or diamond or any lighter not deep coloured so u can see more lights in glass

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  The aqua blue colour is abit darker than I expected but it's still nice. I used lava rock's as a base filler in my outdoor firepit and topped off with the glass. 2 bags was just enough for both firepits.

So glittery! Perfect size, not sharp to the touch. They are dusty in the bag- so like other reviewers…before adding to my table, I put the glass in a strainer and rinsed with water.I have a large rectangular table. I purchased one bag, and decided to get another to fill in in more.I love this stuff!!Gorgeous!
