Great substrate for creating sand bed in reef tank
Wonderful substrate for marine tank. Some small grains are so round and perfect. Definitely needs a good wash before adding to the tank as lots of dust comes out.

Takes some time to rinse but once in and settled it is gorgeous to look at plus water parameters are stable.

I needed a substrate for my multifasciatus shell dwellers that looks good, buffers the water to a high pH and is not too expensive. This ticked all the products and and continues to look good. Another unexpected upside is that it seems to not scratch the glass as easily as sand as it is made of smooth circular granules.

Arena con muy buenas propiedades y bien envasada. El envío bastante rápido. Ayuda a regular el PH del acuario marino y aporta muchos elementos beneficiosos al agua. OJO: enjuagar muy bien con agua salada. He tenido que enjuagarla como 6 o 7 veces para quitarle la nube blanca que desprende, y aún asi, me ha tomado 1 semana de filtrado para dejar el acuario con el agua cristalina. NO INTRODUCIR EN EL ACUARIO SIN ANTES LAVARLA CON AGUA SALADA.

This is the top shelf of sand on the market today... as always, you get what you pay for. A thorough rinsing is 100% necessary. Just put the sand in a clean 5 gallon bucket, fill it with water and leave the water on so it continuously overflows until all the dust pours out and the water starts clearing up. The grains of this oolitic sand are ultra fine, but they are also ultra dense, and the density plays a huge role in helping it stay in place when put up against power heads, wavemakers, and gravel vacuums. It’s a bright white color that reflects an amazing amount of light. Spend the money on this high quality stuff...you will not regret it. *I use this sand in an mbuna African cichlid tank, and it has done a great job maintaining a high PH through the utilization of aragonite.
