Life saver. Used this every single time I nursed for the first few days post partum and it works SO FAST. It does taste bad. My husband started mixing it with juice for me and then it was fine. But my itself or in just water, definitely bitter. When I would take this, it would work to relieve cramping almost instantly. And it didn't just "take the edge off" Cramps gone. Perfect.

Helped significantly lower the postpartum contractions. I noticed when I was not taking it the pain intensified, so it really does make a great difference. I’d say it’s the number one tool for pain management in the fourth trimester.

Wow! This is a must for those postpartum cramps. I have 3 kiddos and with each child they get worse. This was a life saver with my 3rd. I actually recommend this brand and company. Amazing quality. The taste isn't the best but totally worth it for how well it works. I mixed it with a small amount of water.

This was recommended to me by my doula with my first child. I had severe after labor pain and the pain medicine really wasn't cutting it for me. I found this little bottle so effective that I ordered it in advance for my second child and used it ritually. It has a light berry taste and I usually put it into the large hospital water cups that they give you (whatever dosage the bottle recommends). If you know you have really bad post labor cramps this is an essential for the hospital bag. *Update 2025* Just had my third kid and this was a lifesaver, yet again. My cramping often breaks through all the pain meds that they give me and this stuff is ultimately my only source or relief. I feel like the flavor has changed over the years since I first started using this but I dilute it with 8 drops in a 30 oz water bottle that I drink and refill all day long. Diluting it in the water makes the taste barely noticeable.

I decided to try this product after having my fourth child. I rated this product a 3 because if I didn’t use it, I’m sure the postpartum contractions would have been much worse and I’m also taking into consideration that the afterbirth contractions are a lot stronger the more children you have. If I had taken this product after having my second child then I believe I probably wouldn’t have felt no where near as much pain as I did this time. So I am acknowledging that it does work but the stronger the contractions are the less effective it was for me. My afterbirth contractions were very strong and it got to a point where I was taking more than what was instructed. Overall I think it matters how many times you’ve given birth on how effective this product will be for you. You will definitely need to take Afterease and couple it with a hot towel on your stomach to help ease the pain.
