Are these made of cotton?

It's not like a cotton ball. It's the usual lipstick applicator we find in a lot of lipsticks and lipglosses, just smaller and disposable. They're usually called a sponge tip applicator, without being "spongy". These are great for applying traditional lipsticks as well as liquid lipsticks. The applicator doesn't leave behind any trace materials on the lips and it doesn't soak up the lipstick, wasting product. If you need lipstick applicators for make-up clients, these are perfect.

Anybody try these to use these with liquid paints to trim crafty items? A good alternative to marker pens pourous nibs or not?

Can these be used with nail polish remover or acetone, to clean up nail polish around cuticles?

I wouldn’t recommend because the tips come off too easily

Are these latex free?

I'm not 100% sure but I don't think they are.
