Very sturdy case, happy with the purchase. Everything you need in a reliable travel humidor.

This case is great. It's sturdy, durable, spacious and convenient. There isn’t much more to say than that. It does its job, and it does it well.Con: Upon receiving the case, I immediately opened it and noticed a faint chemical/adhesive smell. After a closer deeper sniff there was definitely the smell of a chemical or adhesive. At first I suspected that it may be the foam, but when I tried to remove the foam I discovered that it was being held in the case by double-sided tape. I carefully peeled the foam away from the tape making sure I didn’t rip the foam. Once the foam was removed, the tape scraped away with just my finger but with some difficulty (this is good tape – NASA grade). Without a doubt, the tape is there to hold the foam in the case (it also hold the humidifier in), but once I removed the tape the foam stayed in the case just fine. The foam is cut to fit the case exactly plus a little bit more, and the little bit more is just enough to keep it wedged in there without the glue. I allowed the case and foam to air out overnight, and that seems to have made an immense improvement. The foam still has a faint smell, but its foam. That faint smell may never go away.Every cigar smoker knows that you don’t want something that gives off an odor (like glue) to be near your cigars because they’ll absorb that odor. Who knows how long you would have to keep cigars in the case before the glue odor was noticeable in the cigar; maybe it never would be. But, I’m not going to find out. I docked the case one star for the glue odor and excessive use of the tape. There are other adhesive options that would do the job just fine without the odor.So, after a bit of scraping and airing out, I now have a five star travel case for cigars. Excellent.

I recommend removing the foam and the humidification unit and using a Boveda pack instead. It is much, much more effective at keeping humidity and gives you a ton more space for cigars, lighters, cutters, etc. Really what you are buying this for is it’s airtightness.
